i rarely get in a grand battle, and my team has to win or i wont get any bonds from that battle, at this rate i wont be able to earn enough bonds to purchase a reward tank, please tell me wg arent going through with this.

You can earn them in normal "all-t10" battles and also for medals.

if you and your clan rank high enough you'll get enough bonds. otherwise tough luck, you'll be one among a lot of victims of WG's new policy of not giving anything to CW players anymore

Needing to play 1-2 months additional randoms to get a reward you should get after a month of campaigning every night is ridiculous indeed.

If you are in the top 11K FapPoints wise and if you clan rating is good enough you should get the tank, period.

Adding bonds in the mix was completely unnecessary, it doesn't improve anything for the participants of the campaign in any way.

I think the 4k pricetag is strangely welcomingly low.

it isn't really, considering the rules will make it so a lot if not most people in the top 11k won't get 4000 bonds, and a lot of people don't have a lot of bonds saved because ranked was so bad they didn't bother with it

top 11k players from the campaign get to choose a tank aslong as they have enough bonds aka 4k.

every participant should be able to earn the bonds needed for the reward tank during that CW mission thing.

else it makes no sense

how many bonds can you make a day? 50-70?

still need about 2 months of playing every day to get enough for the reward

here's a copy of what I posted about this in the Clan wars/Campaign forum...

OK refined my info based on some of the stuff you guys kindly messaged me, thanks guys!

Game Length Data from VBaddict.net, rounded average time down to 7 mins (you can infact search for your preferred T10 tank and get a more pure number)

Bonds earned on a win, for myself on average I win 10, again can adjust to suit own average.

Arbitary number assigned to chance to get into a T10 only game, set at 25%

First you need to work out your Winrate for pure T10 games:

50% Overall Winrate assumed (You can change this to your own personal WR in the T10 tank of your choice)

50/100 x 25/100 = 0.50 x 0.25 = 0.125 = 12.5/100 = 12.5%

We can now assume that we win 12.5% of our pure T10 games and earn 10 bonds

Therefore in 70 minutes of game play (10 games played) we can earn 12.5 bonds

4000/12.5 =320

320 x 70=22400

22400/60 =373.3..

So to earn 4000 bonds we need to play  373.3 hours.

Well, you can bet that as soon as this campaign is over, a new Ranked season will start to 'encourage' more people to play it and earn the missing bonds that way.

So they are giving not enough bonds to make Ranked a viable gamemode, at least that's what I expect.

This is, of course, a ploy by WG to encourage people to play t10 more (to burn credits and thus require a premium account) and play ranked (which is a dead game mode otherwise due to poor rewards, high credit burn and overall for many un-fun gameplay due to skill based MM).

I personally grew to like ranked so played a bit more in the second season and I thus have the 4k bonds. I was surprised at the low amount of bonds needed to get a tank, but placing in the top 11k is another topic.

I never went passed rank 2 on the ranking mode, don't play tier 10 much and have 2935 bonds at the moment.

I bet the statistics and player feedback (hah like they would even bother with that) was showing that players generally were not very interested about bonds, with the not so great success of ranked battles etc.. So this is the fix the DEV team then came up with

At the moment 21886 players in the event, so 50% qualify for the reward tank if they have the bonds, maybe WG knew the event would be a washout and didn't want too many scrubs from getting the tank and so introduced bonds buying requirement....

I have a feeling that exactly the way people earn the right to buy the tank with bonds they probably won't have is what made people not enter the campaign. That and the lack of a new tank.

Just a hunch.

Or perhaps some in the Christmas tree event.

Remember week 3 of ranked battles? They might "fix" something during the campaign so that it won't turn out to be a total fiasco in the end. Christmas event might provide the perfect excuse. :P
