[0.8.1] NoblePlatoon's Music and Voice...
NoblePlatoon
16 Nov 2011
I got tired of the original music in W.o.T., and decided to create my own. Oh, sure, I could listen to an MP3 player...but this is more fun! And now I am including some voice mods I have made.
I, first, want to thank Mastertaco for his thread on how to begin the process of modding sounds. I, then, want to strangle Mastertaco for sending me down this path, because there were no FDP files to build from (unlike when you are modding the voices). Creating my own FDP file was .... insanity.
Attached below are my FMOD music template and my FMOD voice template, as requested by some for me to post. These are my own creation, not the older voice FDP file that has been around for quite a while. If you understand how to use FMOD, you can now make your own music and voices for W.o.T. You must use FMOD Designer version 4.3.0.06. I have also attached a mod file that will activate the enemy_spotted Event in all of my voice mods (unless a voice mod specifically states not to use the Activate spotting sound file), and in the ingame_voice template for 0.7.2. However, future creators of voice mods can use the most recent 0.7.3 template, and should not use the Activate spotting sound mod.. The music templates have remained unchanged.

I anticipate this to be a growing collection.
Please post if any problems are found.
All of my music has been updated to have fade-in/fade-out effects, giving a more pleasant listening experience.

All of my files have been updated to fix a bug which caused random music cessation. If this never happened to you, be happy.
If this has been a problem for you, please re-download your selection. Please post in this thread if any further problems are found.
Also, stay tuned for my next several projects coming soon. They include Symphonic Metal (Epica, Therion, At Vance, Apocalyptica, Nightwish, Haggard and others - please post if you have additional suggestions), E.S. Posthumus, and a Star Wars voice mod (Arnold just does not sound right with the Stars Wars music). There are other collaborative projects I am helping others with, as well.

Your classical collection is a bless to my ears.
Thank you again.

I installed the Arnie and Classical pack too
.
Also, for hosting, I often see large modding file hosted on Mediafire.
Edit:
Tried them.
The classical music made playing EPIC
. Nice choices on the music, I loved most of these pieces, and found only 1 piece to be annoying (no hotkey to skip the song, hehe).
The only other thing that is annoying is how often the music re-starts, abruptly ending one and starting the next (when a game ends, or when the countdown of a new game ends, etcetera).
The arnie voices are kinda funny, but not very clear or practical, I will probably turn them off today or tomorrow.

E.S. Posthumus music added. If you are like me, you may have never heard of their name before...but you have heard their music. It is wonderfully powerful.

Arnold Schwarzenegger voice mod added.
I tried Arnie, but even with my Voice Messages at 100 volume, it still sounds to low. I barely hear it.
I compare it directly with Duke Nukem voices which I use, and those are fine at the same volume.
Any change to up the basic volume for Arnie?

Symphonic Metal Instrumental music added. List of pieces are in the first post. Vocal selections shall come shortly. Enjoy.
This has been corrected in the Symphonic Metal. I have found a way to make smooth transitions. The other music mods shall also to updated, but not yet. When it is done, I will post.
I will work on this when my current projects are completed.

Does music start at certain moments in the game?
I know that music is played at the beginning during loading and dies at the beginning of the game but i've noticed it start up towards the end of the game but I've never noticed any patterns or Variables that contribute to when the music restarts.
If you can edit these parameters, variables and patterns, you could make a very interesting soundtrack indeed.
I look forwards to your results.
When your team is left with 2 players against 5 would be a great time to start the epic battle theme to get your ready to hold your ground.
Anyway, watching this post.
Regards, Aaron

Splendid mod indeed thank you +1.
The only problem is when you go to menu or you start the battle the music always loops itself very annoying i was trying to listen to a fine piece of music and then it changes quite annoying not sure if you could tweak it mate thats my only gripe
Everything is fine the only problem i#s when you start battle thats when it changes track its nice to hear the track thats on.
Thats my only gripe mate.
