Sure, if drinking reduces the amount of camping you do, it might help you affect games more.

Not sure if 1k WN8 players have awareness in the first place, so it can't get much worse with alcohol.

Odd how black and white drinking seems to be in this thread. Either you're sober or you're drunk?

I find that being relaxed enhances my gameplay. I'm not overthinking things. A bit of alcohol is relaxing for many people. Just having one or two may indeed help.

For some reason I play good and decently when I am drunk. My most kills game ( 12 kills in E100 ) was when me and my IRL buddy were platooning together and drinking whiskey. We gather at least once a month and perform a ritual what we call "drunken platoon". We get wasted and have the biggest fun for at least 4-6h. Our next drunken platoon is set to be this week so I can't wait. :)

Here is the E100 replay for proof: http://wotreplays.eu...e/3136518#teams

One or two helps me but beyond that it's downhill. Wonder how much drinking WG do when they are working on changes for the game? Too much might explain some of their gameplay changes with have turned out to be bollocks?

Kind of. I play about as good (if not better) and the game becomes a ton more fun, even after a few beers ...the problem is that playing tanks sober pales in comparison.

Homer Simpson sums it up nicely:

To alcohol! The cause of... and solution to... all of life's problems.

I decided that staying sober made the game better as a whole, and the money's better spent on pixels.

I've finding something odd.

A few drinks and I am more chilled and I hit more BUT my strategic view is a bit less

No drinks I hit less but am more aware

Too many drinks and icanteven type prpbperly

NO drinking does not help,

i used to think it did,

then i started waking up in the morning my mouth was so dry sometimes my lips cracked and bled along with a couple of other symptoms i thought i had diabetes,

went to the doctors had some bloods taken and when i got the results back something was almost 4 times what it should be, i was told if i didn't stop drinking i would be on dialysis within a month,

apart from a drink with my Christmas dinner and a wee dram on new years not had a drink for about 5 years now :).

I don't drink whatsoever, albeit for different reasons than Cragarion.

I always play like someone who is, though, and I aim even worse.

Hmm I do that even when I'm sober...

I've always wondered if people that login later see it or not, I guess they don't otherwise someone surely would have said something, but then again it might be a bit strange to bring up all of a sudden as well :P

I could tell you about other "magic potions and powders"....but then again...some kids might be reading this...and I do not drink anymore...too....devastating imho

so, suffice it to say: if you see that black cat on your (e.g.) carpet or something (which everyone ever involved in it is said to be seeing) it´s already too late to play tanks, for superunikumstats one would need real tankers chocolate or the main incredient in it to be precise^^ mwahaha, this really works for a few games

for more reference: PIHKAL & TIHKAL :teethhappy:, whereas the above mentioned black cat stuff comes out of the jungle...amazonas or something, feels like a shuttlestart if applied the hasty way, I tells you :amazed:

however, Shulgin and Hoffmann are very bad tankers...0 WN8 for sure...takes about an hour just to select a tank

Are you making less sense than the OP..?

Previously the only effect of alcohol on my gameplay is that I've had to correct more typos in the insults I hurl at my team for failing to carry me. However, in the interests of science I shall be having a proper session today (beers and tanks) so I'll update the thread with my findings later.

Unless, of course, I get distracted by something on pornhub youtube and forget about it.

Don't let people try kidding you it's Belarus.

If you don't drink It'll drive you to it!

Part-way into my experiment and I've finally aced the Rudy after 96 battles and 5 cans. I'm sure it took fewer battles to ace the T-34-85 and that wasn't using the BiA crew that goes in the Rudy. What does that show? Well, for starters instead of a bunch of personal reserves, WG should probably bundle tanks with a 6-pack, 12-pack or slab. If you get great results when drunk then yay! If you don't get great results then you're drunk so who cares and also yay!

Frankly I'm shocked that it's taken so long to come up with this plan.

A few drink makes me also chilled and I play better.

But after a point I start to yolo and other stupid things. RIP wn8 for that day.

Spoiler

Getting drunk right now before I log in.

I play more aggressively and don't really care if our E100 is camping the hill on Mountain Pass. I kid you not, I saw an E100 do this two nights ago.

well I play sligtly worse when drunk but as you pointed out it is the strategic view that suffers most. Or also you might not care studying the lineup in the beginning. You also get more stubborn and not adaptable etc.

One positive thing about drinking ( for WG ) is that you become a zombie and refuse to log out and suddenly it is 4 am. God damn it ..... usual trick is to call in sick ... but you have to spend 1 hour thinking about what you called in sick for the other times ( also you need to stay up till 6am to pretend you just woke up and realized u were sick ) ... cause it is not logical to get sick the same way once again. A liar need to remember all the lies you see.

But other then that if you played this game 25K+ games then alcohol affect you very little . MM is still the evil thataffect your gameplay more.

Hey, an E-100 camping the hill is better than a Maus camping behind the B-C 155 58 on the road near the red border (north spawn).

Luckily that was the opposing team. :teethhappy:
