I was just shot and killed, the after death visuals clearly shows the tank that killed me was completely behind a house wall in Redshire and firing through it. So basically exploiting a mechanic flaw.

I don't expect WG to ban him or fix this particular exploit because of the new HD maps changes everything, but I'd like to know when the ETA is for the new maps and assurances that firing through houses will not be allowed and treated harshly if it occurs.

Would this exploit be called a "window"?

Oh, and - REPLAY?

Now that you mention it...i had a Hellcat climb up a hill on Windstorm hiding behind impenetrable trees.
Are you sure he wasn't shooting through a small gap or hole you couldn't see? There are spots f.e. on Stalingrad where you can do just that.

You are active here for long enough to know that...

Could also be called 'a gap between buildings'.

Maybe he's offended by gaps.

Yep.  Some rubble / broken bits of buildings aren't modelled correctly but not aware of any buildings that you can shoot through.

I'm sorry Dinger, that spot on Windstorm is legendary. You can play around that spot perfectly fine if you know how or just let arty + HE183 hammer that bush for a minute!

now now, replays that will name and shame isn't allowed is it. I reported the player to WG and thats an end of it, they can view the data and decide.

So

if you don't know the ETA of the new maps which might fix all types of exploits just say so.

Dude, the replay is just there as a proof that you don't talk out of your $@#...

No naming and shaming at all.

"NEW" Maps? You're referring to HD maps which have plenty of climbs? ^.^

It obviously isn't. Otherwise we wouldn't be here.

You can post the replay, just don't post the player's name. You could even send the replay as a PM.

So

I suspect there is a small gap in it. Like most buildings have. Either between two buildings, or a narrow window. And even if it was no gap there. Reporting him won't do much. As he is not "hacking" anything. It's an exploit due to something WG left there. Hitbox is still on the server, and if the building hitbox is wrong vs the visuals. It's on WG, not the player. As we have seen before when they broke the hitboxes on a few buildings on Himmelsdorf 2 years or so ago. And posting a replay is fine, as it's a link. And you don't post the players name etc. As we ask for replays like this constantly, none of them have been removed for naming and shaming. As it's usually due to not knowing there was a window there etc more so then a "hack" that "shames" the other player.

We not even sure this is an exploit, and there are not that many "building" exploits atm that needs fixing that we know about for it to be a major concern. The next patch will fix mountain goat exploits, not building exploits. And most building exploits, like on Ruinberg is simply spacing. As the buildings on F8 that have narrow gaps between them. And they have been there for years with WG saying it's "fine". This could be the same. And since the shell hitbox is the same for all, and not decided on caliber. Everyone can shoot between there as the shell hitbox is the narrow center line only. Thus I suspect that's what he did. A narrow gap where he saw you.
