Today we review the recently rebalanced T71 DA light tank at tier 7, the autoloader variant of the T71 CMCD.

Let me know what you think :)

Maybe, I honestly don't see it as a problem. 900 damage per clip will kill a same tier light tank if you don't low roll and that's about it. Much like the Batchat can kill itself with one clip if it doesn't low roll.

The autoloader also has worse dispersion and less gun depression as other drawbacks compared to the single shot variant. The DPM is the same compared to other lights of the tier (which is how autoloaders should be), you trade clip potential vs. consistent damage.

Autoloaders are great against players that are not paying attention, they are great at exploiting weaknesses but if you come up against a player that is aware of you or simply doesn't give you the opportunity to unload a full clip into him, you're at a severe disadvantage.

This is why you see very little good players complain about autoloaders because they hardly ever have problem engaging them, only good players making mistakes and bad players get a full clip unloaded into them, which is not something vehicle balancing should compensate for.

If you start compensating for that in balancing we come to the situation we are now in with overbuffed heavy tanks and light tanks with atrocious penetration at range.

Nice job.. I have them both because reasons and tend to prefer the single shot version as it has a wee bit better gunhandling and looks rather silly. :girl:

That clip on the gun alone is the reason T92 doesent stand a chance against it... and T92 cant run from it ether coz T71 DA is faster.. explain why T71 DA is tier 7 again?

Because the T92 should get it's alpha buffed while maintaining the same RoF.

Thank you for pointing out that I need to check the CMCD.

I totally neglected it because I already have a decent crew in my DA (was not bothered to start the same tank again....or retrain that crew for just a silly experiment)

:great:

Yeah the CMCD is fun but definitely a different beast. Slightly better mobility somehow (probably due to less weight of gun and turret ?) and it has better gun handling and depression etc. though and consistent fire which is also nice.

Used my x-mass crew (4x female) for CMCD.

Pretty funny to play.

Does higher per shot damage then the DA.

It's a keeper.

for me DA is a keeper. I have so much fun playing autoloader! :)my only autoloader tank so far and is definitely a keeper. I have unlocked bulldog before the line split, and now finishing T69 unlock. and I will KEEP this small fun machine 100% even after I will buy the T69. ;)

p.s. my task is to get Type 57 heavy :S

wtf? now is not possible going from T71DA to bulldog! They fixed this after splitting T71 in T71DA and T71 CMCD, now they wrong again? Fire this developers.

I have kept both the DA & CMCD. Both are fun to play with different playstyles. Definate keepers.

nice, thanks for compiling the Daaaaaa

:)

Firing unaimed shots on autoloaders gives an iniital dmg advantage?!

Hmm, I wonder how much time it takes until that "intital" is over.

<nitpicking>

Relocating AND reloading are most important when playing a autoloading LT!

It's a very good tank, a tad too good probably if you ask me. The same level of OP-ness as pre-nerf buldog with lower clip potential.

I'm loving mine, glad there are no people crying for nerf.

I love it, don't take it out the garage enough. It has the sting of an autoloader to help you in 1 vs 1 situations but the clip reload isn't too bad that you are easily left unable to fire. I rarely use an entire clip, but given the inter-drum reload you can often get in 2-3 hits where you'd only get 1-2 with a standard gun.

The mobility is decent and it is small enough to be able to dodge fire. One of my favourite tanks :) If only the Chaffee had an autoloader too!

Is it really though? The old Bulldog could clip a same tier medium/heavy with it's clip if all shots penned.

The T71 can do a maximum of 900 damage per clip (6x150) while all T7 heavies have around 1300 health and mediums around 1100.

It's therefore impossible for the T71 DA to be as OP as the old Bulldog was.
