Just my two cents here.

1. You want to enjoy this game, not get angry.

2. Tier6 doesn't lose credits like top tiers, it's cheap to run

3. There are many good and fun tanks at tier6

4. Because of the mm system, you will at worst, see only 3 tier8 tanks, can be a problem yes but still only 3 while facing tier7 is not much of a problem because many tier7 show no improvement over tier6 top guns.

5. Because of the mm system, you will still occasionally get to fight (club) -2 tier, tier4 seals and yes, clubbing seals is really fun, a dirty kind of fun, but fun.

6. Playing tier6 makes better sense over tier5 because tier5 no longer sees -2 tier and the tanks are pretty sh** tbh vs tier6 and tier7.

7. Tier6 gets on average, a big 50% jump in standard ap pen over tier5.

8. At tier6, though it contains many lethal unicorns and experienced players, overall the expectations from teammates is low so raging is not much of an issue since you really didn't expect much from teammates anyway.

9. There is a great carry potential at tier6 and the tanks tend to have enough firepower to get the job done including enough 2 key pen when needed.

10. At tier6 you can either choose to make some decent credits or simply break even with a quota of limited gold ammo usage per battle.

Edit- ah almost forgot

11. Tier6 has some really nice premium tanks that are really cheap tbh, especially compared to tier8 premiums.

12. Clan wars. Not sure if tier6 is still offered anymore but was really fun and I still participate on occasion clan training invites Vs other clans at tier6, great fun. Liberal use of the 2 key with bragging rights on the table, good fun.

All in all, I think for those reasons and maybe some I've missed, makes tier6 a really great tier for enjoying yourself in this game as much as one can hope.

You forgot: it's also a good tier to continue to learn and improve your game.

Tier 6 and 7 are the best tiers,at least for me
O-I 830 games,60.48% winrate.

O-Ni 927 games,58.04% winrate.

Also at tier VI the tanks have evolved enough to have roles with their own strengths and weaknesses and things like view range still mater.  Go too low in the tiers and they are all armoured go-karts zipping about with the gun on auto fire and go too high and you can be spotted from the enemy spawn circle almost and focus fired to the garage in seconds after you are spotted.

1. Some people enjoy a challenge, tier 6 isn't a challenge.

2. That's how wot economy works, if everyone would not lose credits they won't play lowtiers = empty.

3. Yep, it's fun to own noobs in broken tier 6 (sarcasm)

4. MM is dumb, there are more games decided by the MM now than it used to be.

5. MM is dumb, there are more games decided by the MM now than it used to be.

6. Meh

7. Meh

8. Baddie statpadders, absolutely no tactical aspect of the game, boring as balls.

9. I would tend to disagree, there is carry potential in every game you play, it's just that at your skill level tier 6 is where it's at.

10. See point 2.

You should always do whatever makes you happy in WoT, if you're not intentionally gimping your team or rig missions/marks/etc then you're fine

Yup this too, it's possible to try a few new map locations and a few new ideas you just wouldn't dare at top tiers because it's just too expensive and 99% chance of gitting wreckt

Nope, tier 6 is frustrating. You often get matched against the OP tier 8s. Tier 5 is far more comfortable.

This, tier 6 is p*ss easy to play and that doesn't interest me.

Drive 15m back behind a bush, you have confused 99% of players you face.

Snap shot trading will win you like 80% of fights, even against tanks with better alpha and armour because players at that level are so easy to bait into missing. It honestly feels like when you pretend to throw a ball for a dog and they go running off towards where ball would have gone.

And as Dennez says, gun handling is so bad it's annoying.

To be honest i'd rather try to fight in IS-3 in my T-34-85 then an IS in my T-34 :P

That's all nice and cool, but Tier 6 is garbage until they nerf T-34-85M (RoF) and VK 30.01 P (Turret is too strong hull down and won't be penned unless at point blank range). Also Type 64, O-I, KV-2, etc.......i'll pass. I'm grinding the E8 and just finished E2 eliting, and it's really painful to play against mentioned tanks

edit: and no, it's not "PEBKAC"

Buy a nice tier 6 premium, meet O-I, game over.

Tier 6  was funny before the drop of KV-1s from tier 6 to 5, before hellcat nerf, before replacement of T-50-2 with MT25, before aparition of tier 10 arty. Tier 5 is fun, because you can meet noobs and unicums together, many tanks have chance to beat other tanks . Only problem on tier 5 is O-I exp, after last buff

Not really. O-I can be penned frontally by almost every tier 6 med gold round. If you buy a premium med, you can afford a couple of APCR to deal with it. Or you can easily outplay it.

About O-I exp, it is easyer to kill now than before: it has no more the 105mm gun, so it can't 2 shot tanks anymore, the tall miniturret cupola is just 75mm, as the mail turret one, the back has been nerfed to 70mm and every TD with more than 125mm pen can simply pen the UFP and the gun mantlet.

On topic, I agree with the OP. Tier 6 is one of the more enjoyable tier, almost no frustration and lots of intresting and iconic tanks are there. A real fun tier. :)

the frontal turret armour from O-I exp was buffed. Before last patch was easy xp for my churchill 3, using stabdard ammo, now, i need premium ammo.

I lost the fun at tier 8 and found it back in tier 6... :great:

Strange and too bad I missed the whole T-34-85M event...

Nope, you don't necessary need gold, just aim well. As I said, the tall miniturret top and the turret hatch are just 75mm, so 110mm of standard per can pen it like butter. Check on tanks.gg the model.

Problem:

- The RNG is already too high on tier 10, it's even worse on tier 6.
