Tiger(P) requires skill to play succesfully, I recently bought mine back and am quite enjoying it. However if you don't know how/when to angle or make use of armour you are going to have a bad time in it.

The Jagdpanther is a good solid TD with nice mobility, good gun(s) and some useful armour. Can't go wrong with it.

That being said the Tiger(P) line becomes better when you go up the tiers whereas the Jagdpanther line dips after the Jagdpanther II as slow "armoured" TD's are irrelevant in the current game meta and goldspam.

Tiger P and angling > ? This is second worst tier 7 HT in game.

JP all the way for him. But well, TD or HT, depends on playstale.

Tiger P is crap. Get the Jpanther. Seriously. Low DPM, Unreliable armor, Low Alpha, Bad prem round for dealing with ocasional super armored t9 tank

Thanks for proving my point:teethhappy: You are one of those people that doesn't understand armour angling.

Armour angling does not just mean to park your tank at an angle and expect to bounce everything like you think it does.

The Tiger(P) has some prominent weakspots but if you angle correctly meaning near a corner, you can hide those, works even better when semi hull-down. The trick is to expose only your strongest armour.

You can also perfectly bait shots only exposing your thick frontal "beak" on a corner.

Tomorrow I'll publish a video on this tank on my channel, I'll put it under here for you:

You'll most likely enjoy the JPanther more, but the hull on the Tiger P share quite a few similarities with the Ferdi so might also be nice to learn those weaknesses at a lower tier. Regarding the Tiger P vs other tier 7 HT's, yeah it's not great but it's not all bad either, I had quite a good time grinding through mine.

Tiger P may be hard to play, but it's not terrible for tier VII. If I had it i'd research everything it leads to pretty good tonks.

You still have craplfp, giant cupola and a turret full of weakspots. The pub forum always dissapoints me. Recomending one of the worst t4t heavies in the game over a fairly decent TD.

TO THE ORIGINAL POSTER - Even if you prefer heavies it's better to go with a TD since you won't loose so much XP while retraining.

As I said, I'll post my video tomorrow when it's released here showing you also how to make the turret work. The trick is to angle it quickly when you know the enemy is about to fire, works like a charm just like on the E-50M

E50m has less weak areas on the turret. Here they are scattered randomly

You can show us video, but what for ?

In tier 7 HT T29 is king, no matter how good you are, you will never win vs T29 in Tiger P(if you are both good). You cant out dpm him, hes turret has 1 tiny weakspot for you.

Never had problem to kill Tiger P, that's why I call this bad tank, and I am not the only one.

Angle in tiger P? And you are an unicum wtf , side skirts are weakspots even if you face enemy and 45mm side armor can only bounce shots  , not absorb any

Cobra6 gets the Tiger P. I had fun in mine & even enjoyed it's armor. It works good as long as you keep the armor in mind & what you want to do with it. The weakspots & such never really bothered me.

Not a tank for people who want armor to do the work for them, but if you put in some effort on angling & positioning, it's a very sturdy tank.
