Sorry if I'm late on this subject (if it's valid). I just play random battles and ignore most talk about the game.

But Jeeze!  Is anyone else having bad times with tier 8 lights?

I'm about ready to either give up or throw my PC thru the window!

Seems like an awful lot of Tier 10 games. Which means being out spotted and certain tanks impenetrable.

And I'm getting VERY frustrated in my new LTTB. 47%win, ~400 avg.xp,

compared to my Bulldog, from last year 56%win, 637 avg.xp.

So its not like, I don't know what to do in lights (not uni either of course)

Please can anyone offer words of solace to an old man seeking wisdom?

It's no different from other tier 8s right now to be honest.

90% of tier 8 tanks are like this now. Seat back relax your buttocks enjoy game experience from the company that's never wrong...

Tier 8 lights are my deamon. I can offer no words of solace. I do terrible in every T8 light that I have ever tried and still I bought a T92. I really shouldn't go into the WoT shop without adult supervision............

Ligh tanks are for PMs, if you want some detrack-flank to pen experience you  can choose mediums like Cromwell etc to feel that manevourability advantage, spot mechanics is casino and BS but is calming sometimes to just stand in bush - thats what u prolly seek. There are more comfortable and stable light tanks than LTTB anyway, or maybe you just unlucky to catch that ricochets and non-pens on it.

Tier 8 lights have become like the tier 8 meds. Tier for tier they are the worst LT's around. They held many a gem before, but those moved up a tier. AMX seems to have a love/hate thing going for most. Buldog for me still works. But I've found little love for the rest and sold them off. Tier 7 even have better LT's then on tier 8. T71 and 131 are still great. Only bad apple there is the SP1C. Most of the tier 9 LT's are still fantastic bully tanks and good active and passive scouts with regards to camo vs view range over meds, and I've kept everyone there. But that is not the case on tier 8. Bulldog is still a good passive scout. But vs other tier lights, even lower down. Tier 8 LT's is the only tier I feel meds could do a better job. And thus I only have one LT there. And I go for tier 7 or 9's now for LT missions.

Yeah tier 8 LTs suck and they should never have added tier 9 and 10.
Tier 6, 8 and maybe 7 are the tiers to play LTs now.

WZ-132 at least has a 250 alpha gun. the rest dont have anything.. bulldog got destroyed and the autoloader removal made it suddenly the worst POS in tier. so WG made a premium based on the worst  LT. T92. *slowclap*

The LT changes only made like 3 LT's worth a crap in the whole rebalance(13 90/WZ-132/T49*derp*) IMO. WG's way of fixing them. they seem to think 150 alpha tanks are remotely balanced and fair at a tier with 440/750 alpha monsters with stupid armor profiles. not good enough? 175pen tier 8 Light tanks are 100% useless and bounce sides of heavies most times, dont even get get good gold rounds nor good credit gain for playing the most worthless tanks in tier.

Mediums are frowned upon for there "crappy 240 alpha" but no, WG just have to go full stupid and make a tier 8 tank with crap DPM and worst in tier pen.. and 150 alpha.... sigh. they will never learn.

if you can hit something with it, yes. I miss a whole lot of fully aimed shots, not even mentioning snapshots, while having snap shot and smooth ride almost full. On most tanks I feel the difference, but not on this one. I miss the gun it used to have, because the gun handling is now sooooo trash.

Usualy when circling heavies (when you can...) usualy the gun has a high chance of hitting. the alpha will at least make same tier meds think twice. 150 just laugh it off and ram/shoot you.

Answer to "Why am I tying this rope around my neck?".

The tank is awful - center-placed turret, long chassis, bad dpm, bad penetration (You won't pen that Type 4 in the side if you're on a 90° to it), it flips, because it's thin and it's not the fastest scout.

One good thing about tier 8 lights getting tier 10 battles is the additional assist damage. The downside is being out-spotted by tier 10 mediums but y'know, you gotta grasp at whatever straws you can reach.

Cant be worse than T92, Bat12t at least gets an autoloader to scare people away. dont know true pain untill you have lowest alpha single shot with crap DPM in tier.

I'd actually take the normal loader any time over the autoloader. Not only I have like 180 alpha, I also have a useless autoloader, which makes brawling other lights impossible.

T92 looks bad tho, it's turret is like a UFO.

Either you like lights or you don't I may not be amazing but I do love light tanks and have some fantastic games in them.

Tier 8 games are very hit and miss right now but I find light tanks are the only type that make tier 8 tolerable.

Id say autoloaders make fighting other light tanks easier, yeh guns a tad derpy. but if you get one close enough you can clip and hurt someone bad. T92 is scared of anything looking at as it cannot fight anything tier 8, heck most tier 7's would royally screw T92 in ether alpha or DPM alone, i sure as hell dont wana meet any tier 7 autoloader.

A gun is fear factor. people dont mess with autoloaders. no tank previouse to light changes would dare go near a 13 90 for good reason.

Like others mention, a tier8 thing.. thought that said, even if your tier9 and the best tank etc, if your team is comprised of clueless fu**heads you won't do much better anyway so don't get to thinking there is some savior tier, di**head teammates, you lose and lose fast regardless.

I'm currently suffering my way through tier8 in the BC something or other. It's about as acceptable as tier8 LTs gets with an autoloader though inferior to the OP tier7 US "DA" so at least you can get in a couple of cheap clips even if your'e totally steamrollered. My reason? A tier9 medium that at this stage I probably don't want since even with T-10 heavy I can't offset the 1vs15 scenarios which crop up about 2 in every 3 battles.. so with a paper armor tank, will probably be even worse still, mines fjords and swamp every other map, what's the f***ing point.

At least with paper tanks you can at least know never to rely on armor so shouldn't be surprised by gold spamming "greats" since you never played to expect it to bounce.. so at least there's that.
