Why the advent calendar has been so poor this year? I was expecting something special in terms of premium time or gold+credit combo. All I've seen so far are tanks that are either offered with the same discount within the year, has been offered in events and some tier six that are okay. The only interesting thing so far was a 360 premium that was 15% off which is offered from time to time anyway....

Should we expect a Type 59 or something at the end or we shouldn't bother anyway because who care about customers anyway.

How do we not bother with an Advent calendar that puts up offers every day regardless of whether we click through to see them? What difference does it make if you buy something or not to whether the Type 59 will come up?

Was the Advent Calendar better last year? I don't think so. The truth is that after you've experienced your first Advent Calendar the excitement wears of, just like the excitement of Christmas eventually wears off, only quicker. It shouldn't have the in game pop-ups, and excitement should be ramped up to expect things that are unexpected. It's just lazy offering the same old tanks time after time and deals that are often better at other times of year.

I must admit I was a little disappointed by the prices considering we have just had 30% or so off on just about anything in the shop but I suppose we've had the more unusual things being offered. That said, I can't really complain. Just that I am a cheapskate and would like to have seen the Mutz a little cheaper. Wanted that one darn it!

What did you expect? Each year there are maybe two or three interesting offers in the calendar. The rest is stuff that comes on sale on a regular basis anyway.

Last year's highlight was seeing the E-25 back on sale. And, no, I don't consider that a bad thing. Taking OP tanks out of the gift shop is all well and good, but it actually gives an advantage to those who already own them. After having been wrecked by E-25 platoons a few times, I was quite happy to get one for myself.

This year we started strong with the T92. Yes, it has its problems, but it is only the second tier 8 premium light in the game and let's be honest if it had been any better, half the forum would be wailing about OP premiums.  I expect that the new VK168 will come up for sale on the final advent day, though to be honest it doesn't look like a fun tank to play. Meanwhile, things have been a bit boring. Too bad, but that's life.

Buy the T54 mod 1. Is far superior to the Type 59 ever was (even before nerfs), and is today.

Has far superior armor, and low size, impervious to damage frontal turret, and a great gun. And it can bully Tier 6 & 7s easily.

The Type 59 can be penned even by the OI HE shells for full damage and fires. Is food to autoloader lights, and gun handling is horrible. While you are primary for everyone including arty. If you buy it, you going to be disappointed. If WG ever gives to Type 59 it's old gun, maybe it can deal with the lights and mediums. But to play it these days, you need 5-6 skill crew, and a game to just be given to you by the enemies.

And with the MM since May, I have yet to see any tank smaller than tier 8 with it.

Get the stock WZ120 in a Tier 9 battle and go to face tier 7 and 8s. Is exactly the same tank, and be ready to lose badly.

How about re-offering them all, at once, on New Years....

I think WG could improve the Advent calendar by putting it under "Store" tab. They seem to have a knack for such thing.

I wish they would actually sell the Type 59 just so I can enjoy the tears of the legions of complete morons who non-stop whine for it as they believe it's somehow this god-like vehicle.

I've never owned one but even just looking at it on paper it seems nothing special. I mean, 181mm of standard pen and 0.39(!) accuracy on a tier 8 medium.....Also, didn't it use to have something like a 2.9sec aim time as well.

At least it has pref MM which means it'll be constantly matched with tier 9s instead of tier 10s.....

I do recall previous years having actual discounts on there, the only discounted item so far has been the 1 year prem account for -15%. And no, I don't count a tank and regular priced gold along with a couple shiddy reserves thrown in for free to be a "discount".

'T8 of the week' probably ate too much into profits, and most of the "special" tanks either can't be sold (Type 59, Defender, the 'old' light tanks), aren't ready (T-44LW, Aufpanther v2) or are sold on a regular basis regardless - Lorraine 40t might be the least commonly sold tank out of the 'special' ones (save for the E25, but I don't really count the whale-size bundles).

More or less this. Problem is that year by year calendar format stays same (ok we get tanks alone this year) and became boring. Also how can it be called special when you must buy tanks for full price? not new tanks but several years old.. tanks that are on sale several times per year... I think atleast every third offer in calendar should be new tank. Atleast.. Also buying such old generation tanks like mutz or paton kr while having totally ruined t8 mm is just beyond logic.. And they gave us those tanks like something special.. really sad and even pity. Sometimes it really looks that wg simply is laughing at us..  Like "hey guys lets put on sale some old prems and look how many idiots gonna get them for 30 euro"...

I see I;m not the only bamboozled from the bland offers from WG. Well I guess I should have seen that coming from a mile away, WG is milking hard the game. I wonder if a bubble pops like EA did...

I mean 15% off the premium time??? They could have done a better one, and honestly selling old odd tanks (I'm looking at the Mutant and BTSV) isn't going to cut it when they aren't on par with the newer ones.

Even the NA had some really crappy offers this year and the NA is dying. The 1000$ mega pack with premium was a crapshow in my opinion, because who would want x2 some of  the tanks...

I'm not happy with WG this year, they really have left the game to rot...
