Autoloader seems meaty, but it lacks depression and dispersion values are horrid. I'm thinking about one as it's on sale, what do you guys think?

I bought it on a previous sale and didn't play it much. I had a female reward crew left over from an Emil I that I sold as I hated that. They're now on three skills and recently I've started to appreciate it a lot more.

It's now one of my 'go to' tanks when I can only play a few. It can die easily though and really that depression seems like it should be a lot better: you do end up revealing more than you'd like to get the shots.

It's a good tank. Very similar to the AMX 13-75 but a tier lower and much more competitive.

I really enjoyed it.

If I were, I would not buy this tank. Stay away from that tank. There are more beautiful tanks on VI tier.

6 gun depression? Brahh. :sceptic:

It's just a support tank.

What has the tanks looks got to do with anything?

I like it a lot, powerful clip. Good gun, nice pen, ok depression but a bit sluggish.

Played it a TON in skirmishes.

Here is my review on this thing if you are interested:

One major issue though:

The engine health is extremely low so any shot in the front, even from a Type64 will destroy, not damage, destroy your engine. If you come at a 45 degree angle there is a good chance you''ll get tracked AND have your engine destroyed, so good luck with your small repair kit.

I found it decent.

Downside are the bad gun depression  (it felt bad anyway), might be due to rather tall tank, and lackluster mobility.

Engine get killed quite often if hit in turret, so hide hull for that reason.

The 57 is a beast , loved from day 1 even with the broken engine .I also suggest you carry a large repair kit , you will need it . I enjoy playing it because you are often underestimated and in the right hands can cause a world of hurt

Personally I don´t like it at all. Its pretty sluggish and gun handling is pretty bad. You are either fully aimed or you WILL miss. Even close quarter snapshots will let you down most of the time. No armor, bad gun depression (for a Swedish tank). Its simply outclassed by most other T6 premiums like the T-34-85M, Bromwell and Type 64. The tech tree Strv 74 is a much better tank.

Knowing what I know today I wouldn´t have bought it.

It depends. If you want to learn how to play with an autoloader it's a good choice. Otherwise, no. There are no high tier Swedish mediums to train a crew for, so as a crew trainer it's useless. It's certainly not a bad tank, but if you want a tier 6 premum, there are better choices.

i mean, its seems like a good tank at tier 6, but when u realize that u can play with t34-85s, cromwells, type64s and skoda t25s it doesn't seem that good anymore. unfortunately tier 6 always had a few amazing tanks that everyone plays, so others stay in shadows, even though they are not bad tanks in general. I still remember the "good old days" with kv1s and hellcats all over the place :d especially the kv1s was so balanced at tier 6, that there was literally no point to  play any other tank at tier 6 in my opinion.

So, as ever, there are two schools of thought.  It is sluggish with a meh gun. It is competitive with a powerful clip for it's tier.  I love how two different conclusions are drawn and shows how differently people play.  Me, I fall in to the second group,  That autoloader is good.

It is the crew training part that really sucks : it doesnt suit in ANY tank.

And there still is the test server to try it.

I did, and it s ok for seal clubbing but more difficult when low tiers than a 34 85m for instance.

Just played a couple of battles with it to get a new feel for it. If anything I like it even less than I remember. Bleh.
