I'm currently stuck on HT-12 for the T28 HTC. I've invested a bond or whatever you call it to get it out of the way so I could complete HT-15 but at some point I want to do it so I can recover the bond.

Now I have the IS-7 but try as I might I get stuck on 4k blocked max. Ironically, it looks like the HP buff to the IS-7 made this mission harder. The IS-7 has a mighty turret but it means finding places on the battlefield where you can hide the rather easy to pen lower plate. The genuine superheavies seem to be better suited to this sort of mission but I am only close to the E100 (E75 researched). I haven't even played a single Japanese tank and I'm only on tier 5 of the Maus line so getting there will take some time.

Can the E100 work in the current meta in pursuit of HT-12 and the other two missions for the T-55A and Obj 260?

For E75 4000ish blocked damage required, for E100 it is 5400. I think E75 would be better option since E100 is nothing but a heat magnet. I remember blocking 3000 damage with mt T54E1 so it's not that difficult with some german junk.

This is true. I suppose the E100s best case scenario would be top tier in 3-5-7 MM on Himmelsdorf and then you just go angle on the banana road and let tier 9s and 10s spam away. Same could be said of the IS-7, mind, but no luck at the moment in terms of getting that map and MM combination.

If I didn't have moral objections to the Japanese heavies I'd just power my way to the Type 5. Saw one of those camp base on Malinovka and block 13,400 damage. . .I fired 6 APCR shells at its upper plate (below) the turret in my IS-7 and only one penned. . .

Have you tried lower tiers?

Experienced players left you alone when they know that they can't pen you.

I did. Only seems like the O-I Exp/O-I would work.

It has been a long time since I played a mid/low-tier heavy so I don't know if the KV-1 or T-150 are still any good with the Japanese derp heavies around.

T29/T32 might be a viable option. I did my first two blocking missions in them. For the T55A I did it in the E75. Hide the lower plate behind something and sidescrape like a king by baiting shots into the side. E100 is tricky as most people just load gold and lolopen your turret and the LFP is butter (260 max I think?). You have to be really active and work the turret. Armor does work if you do it properly and its my most blocked tank (1550 / game).

Otherwise VKB might be a good option. Its pretty uncommon and most people have no clue how to PEN it. They will try shooting your LFP which angled go to 300+.

With a correct map and silly enough enemies, you can do it with pretty much any HT that isn't made out of paper.

Completed the 3rd HT-12 with the M103 - not known for super-heavy armor :P

better go for KV-1 or t29, if you have them. On lower tiers ppl spam less gold ammo and are worse in general so more chances to complete this the most retarted mission of all. If you dont have them go for E-75 wait for right mm (top tier, no arty) and you gonna do it.

I've done all the blocking missions for stug and T28 in E75. HT15 for t28 was the most fun, top tier on overlord bouncing like a boss and decided to do a cliff dive to chase down the last tank on the beach just to make sure I'd taken enough damage to get the combined score up!

E75 works fine. Of the ones you already have IS-6, T29 and T32 are good as well.

If you want to do this mission don't try too hard to win, you want to find somewhere to hull down and bait shots and just let the enemy bounce all day. You're still helping your team by taking shots for them so they don't get hurt but you don't want to be firing back and killing tanks that are donating bounce damage to you too quick.

The best choice is O-Ni. Is the better armoured tier 7 HT. You have the chance to be top tier. If you are top tier, not many players will use premium rounds against you.

E75 and E100 will do the trick only in 1 of 200 Games. They are just not armored enough to bounce very much.
Yes, they can bounce, but not reliably.

I did HT 12-4 2-3 weeks ago in one typical VK100.01P games. Go for this tank and your mission will be finished soon.

I think I did it last time with IS-4... just parked in front of tier 9 tanks and angled :medal:

The thing with IS-4 is people don't really expect the sides and front to bounce that much. If you do it correctly, you get around 270mm effective armor everywhere.

Then you just need to pray the enemies don't shoot your turret weakspots...

I did ht12 for the T55 in the E75, however, this was a long time ago before a lot of power creep premiums and derp guns on Jap heavies. The IS6 is still bouncy as hell and will do it for you in the right MM

VKB I don't find an option. yes good luck penning it on LFP, but people just goldspam your turret front and take you out anyways.

KV1 is still great, even with those Japanese tanks around. I 2-marked it 1 week ago.

If I can make one recommendation: Use the KV-4 for this mission, it is the perfect balance between armour and hitpoints.

I always use the KV-4 for this mission without fail.

Both are viable, only if you know how to angle well. Otherwise play skill demanding tanks such as the Type 5.
