Go on wotreplays.com to find some good games of the tank you're currently playing and, alternatively, go on twitch.tv to watch some good players. Think about what you would do and what the player ultimately does in the replay or live stream

Watch this guy Zeven: https://www.youtube.com/user/ZevenNA

Most importantly this : https://www.youtube....h?v=__l8WoEJm2s

You can also watch him here: https://www.twitch.tv/zeven_na

2nd best tutor is Lemming Rush: https://www.youtube....4RF77I-afTBJu5Q

You can also read:

http://forum.wotlabs...-unicum-recent/

Zeven and Wotlabs are actually what turned me from a guy who did 1000wn8 and 50% overall while playing tier5-6 to someone who can solo 60% on t9's .

If you want to listen a Noob:

1 choose the class wich you like more,

2 choose the tank that you like more

3 dont switch tanks too much

4 have fun

I only really started to improve when I joined a clan and platooned. Start off in a clan where you are one of the worst then when you get in the top 20/30 move to another clan where you are again at the bottom.

I've done this successfully since I joined ORCA many moons ago and, although I have weeks where I can't be bothered about WN8 or winning (as now trying to grind "with honours" missions) I'm still improving.

If you follow your epeen then aim for your recents to be about 700-1000 WN8 above you total.

Well, I've just (after 26K odd battles)  decided I want to learn lights, Love em,

Best Youtuber for this is Dauntless Tanker... (I've watched them multiple times this week) My light play has defo improved.

Love the BC-12t, WZ tier 9 and 10s, struggling with the 54 Lwt tho... I think its because I don't shout "Rasha" when I play it.

I should watch more videos but I try and ask myself why I died every time I blow up before a game ends then I'll try not to do that again.

Also when I get sniped by invisible enemies I'll remember that place for next time.

And staying alive I guess as you can't influence a game anymore when you're dead.

No one suggested it yet, but reading the game wiki to understand game mechanics can also be a good idea to start.

I'd rather he read the wotlabs guides I posted. Game wiki is not the best resource.

You wanna improve russian tank stats? Than you might wanna send a few kapitalist pigs to the gulag.

Sacrificing hamsters on a full moon night works too.

Sadly, neither is an option for me as i'd have to send myself to gulag (don't like that as i don't like being told what to do and the food sucks), and i've run out of hamsters which i sacrificed for WoWP.

Wotlabs forums have great guides since it's the biggest community of dark purples of Wot. Yeah it's a bit NA centric but it works great.

How to get better WR?
With this extraordinary well balanced game. Just play following tanks to improve WR.

Badger
AT-8 (brit T6 armoured TD) (a guess)
T95
VK 100P
Defender
T29
Maus
Jap heavy line.

Strictly speaking he's not wrong, though learning basics, situational awareness, gaining map knowledge etc. should be priority.

The only trouble with WOT replays, Lacho etc is they're just replays no explanation why going to such and such spot is good etc, helpful further down the line, but for someone starting out, I'm not so sure.   I know a lot of people don't like QB but at least he explains what he's doing and why it works in that particular tank.
