650 alpha is quite unique, I like that. I was afraid that this would powercreep the E 100 but it seems like it will remain as the alpha king of heavies. Its also surprisingly mobile with 100 ton mass and 40 kph top speed. This thing will be stupidly good at ramming things.

I dunno how effective is that LFP, but it doesnt seem to be very strong when unangled, so it might actually have a weakspot. It has stupidly strong side armor though so it will be able to angle quite a lot.

Could be interesting.

This tank looks very strong.

Armour wise, turret looks impenetrable with no weakspots.
Hull UFP is probably also impenetrable, with no weakspots.

The armour is down to lfp, and knowing WG it wouldn't surprise me if it is like 260 effective, and thus prem shells are needed.

DPM is on the low side, only 2200. But high alpha makes it much easier to utilise the full dpm of the tank and high alpha is also making enemies less eager to take a shot.

I would say it is a straight upgrade to the IS-4 and VK72P and E100.
Better then Maus? Remains to be seen.
These are the tanks main competitors.

113, 5A and IS-7 is a different type of tank.
SC is a hulldown tank.
And E5 is powercrept.
Type-5 is a retard tank that should be removed, and it can't be compared due to its retarded derp gun. Which WG seems to think is a balanced and non breaking tank.
Because getting 5% above average WR for playing Type 5 is balanced.

The LFP is only 150 mm thick (I think), and doesn't seem to be uber well angled, so I would expect it to be 220-240 effective or so, but we will see. It also has very, very bad accuracy for a tier 10 tank as well so there is that.

It looks pretty strong indeed but I wouldn't say it automatically powercreeps the E 100, as that still has 750 alpha and more HP. Definitely powercreeps IS-4 but that is irrelevant anyway because the IS-4 has been already powercrept. E5 has been powercrept as well.

Maus still has massive HP advantage and the gun is very good even at range (unlike this) so I can't see this outclassing the Maus. Type 5 ofc indeed is not comparable because of reasons you mentioned (with derp, which should be removed anyway). 14 cm Type 5 is flat out worse though outside from 450 HP advantage and -10 depression, tho the 14 cm is bad and needs to buffed so irrelevant to even bring it up to discussion.

The lower side armor is much weaker than the upper side armor so it remains to be seen how effective it is. It should be stupidly well angled (boat-type like T-22 medium and Object 257) so there is that.

I won't judge it yet.

Ofcourse, cant have a non russian superheavy be the best...

But srsly,  they can give the prem ammo on this tank  310 pen with 650 alpha but they refuse to give  the amx 54 and type5 heavy with similar alpha decent prem  pen? WHY??

well this tank has turret on back it is always a huge disatvantage (probably only not for tds) so probably they see this like a way to balance a tank.

Ye, we need to see how strong lfp and lower side armour is.

If those get buffed, this one becomes ridiculous imo.

The main difference between this and E100 is that this turret reliably bounce 330 HEAT, and is weakapot free, while E100 turret has to be angled to bounce, and still have that police bar on top. So I would definitely say this turret is way stronger. Hull armour wise, pretty even, depending mostly on lfp on this tank.

But if this tank gets butter Hull armour then E100, then I would certainly claim it has powercrept E100.

The mobility is better.

the armour would then be better.

And the gun 'only' have 100 less alpha.

And this is super test, it might get the "Maus" treatment aswell.

Yes, rear turrets are kind of weak. But despite this, the VK B at T9 is still one of the better T9 heavies in game. Due to strong armour and good gun.

And that tank has a relatively weak turret front. Only like 265? (Flat and easy pen with prem shells).

It's HEAT, though, and has relatively lackluster penetration for HEAT. 310 HEAT is not THAT much better than 280 AP. Its actually pretty trash when you combine it with the shitty accuracy. I agree though that the gold AP needs buff on those two as long as the premium ammo's concept is like the way it is. 295ish for both should be pretty fair.

Also the E 100 has 750 alpha yet it gets 334 HEAT pen so there is that.

This thing does seem reallllly strong, tho, I got kinda mixed feelings how this will go

Yeah this game needs more tanks with absolutly retraded unhistorical sidearmor! We need MOAR OF THAT MMMOOOOAAAARRRRRR!

I remember back in the day when the 160 mm sidearmor of the IS4 was considered really strong and something unique... These days you get that on every other heavy on tier 8.

This "balancing" department is on the longest vodka marathon I have ever seen.

Over and out! WunderWurst 6

A frontal turret doesnt really help me pen the type5 heavy...

310 heat is jsut better than 280 AP.

When do you load prem ammo? Mostly to go trough superheavys.  What do most superheavys have? Flat armor.

Which tanks do you hav trouble penning without prem  ammo?

-maus

-type5

-E100 turret

-jeageru upper structure

-PZ VII

All those tanks  have flat parts of armor that 310 heat will pen but 280 AP will pen rarely.

well it is good among tanks that count on armor but in general there are a lot of t9 heavies that are just better like t-10, qonqueror even emil atleast for me is better overall.

yeah but types are unique.. in bad way.. they are broken and OP same time.. but in general to have frontal turret is always better.

Personally I prefer T-10 over any other T9 heavy.

But that is another story.

So while rear mounted turret is a handicap, it is not a big handicap.

I think this tank will be a bit to good.

I'm on mobile, so cant see the armour model well, but it looks like it has 30mm turret roof?
