Just look at tanks WG is literally offering these days.

E-25, M6A2E1, Skorpion, Type59 and other "rare" tanks, some of them should not have been on sell again as WG claimed.

Is WG so desperate? Luring people spending more and more money for "exclusive" tanks?

Now even with gambling in the game. It seems like WG is trying to offer everything they can.

Sure WG cannot "inventing" new imaginary tanks forever so...

Is this one of WOT´s last breath?

Honestly, I doubt it. Seeing more and more players on every day it seems, Not just in December but also October and November. I just think its WarGaming being super greedy as always and they cant help themselves for it. WoT is the only game of this kind  (Only half good one anyway) WarThunder is more 'realistic' and AW is a pile of crap, So where will people go if they want to play a game like this? there is nowhere they can go, unless someone else makes a direct competitor that is actually good and can stand its ground, Then WoT will have something to worry about, WG Get away with treating the player base like crap  because there is no good competitor

Well I sort of remember a pretty active BFP4F community inc new players and monthly huge discounts on Fund packages and Dev kits right up until EA shoved a middle finger and closed the servers to use for Battlefront.

Though they did offer us a discount on the games we had aleady bought at discounted prices.

If its dying, they would sell the Defender.

That matey in another thread already said they arent selling it, so I guess they dont need the $$$

Defender is the big thing of this Christmas. Just wait till the last week. It will come in a big package.

This game is made for money making. It is not the best it can be to a player. So naturally as the time goes by more and more people will realise this and the player numbers will dwindle.

That depends on your definition of dying.

Yes the active player count is declining.

No the game won't be "dead" for many years to come.

Ok, but serious question really.

How many tech trees can be added to the game atm? Most relevant countries are already in the game.

So what do you think is the future of the game?

We all know that new stuff is what keeping players playing..

I think a lot of people will just go play other games not another tank game.

Yes some people would, But some people would do that regardless of the state of the game itself and how WG are doing stuff, People will get bored and move on to a different type of game eventually, that has always been the case, and been like that for every game. The same way i used to play Arma all the time and moved onto here.

Only one of those have ever been told never to be sold again, the M6, one is a bit different from "some". Skorpion has been in the store for about 70% of the time since it first appeared, so not "rare" even.  E25 was simply "as we can't promise it will appear again", slight difference. They sold 100K of them last year. And only 4000 new E25 players this year. And Type 59 is not for sale as such. It's not like everyone can get it now is it?

Is it on it's last breath?  As the population is getting closer to 200K, as we do each Xmas...Dying is a bit over the top. But past it's peak prime? Well that I suspect we can agree on.

Even so.. WOT is not the main income machine for WG anymore either unlike a few years ago. It's not even at the top of their income anymore. As they have bought and invested in other game studios and IP's over the years. They have added most of them to steam the past year even.
