Picked up the AT7, bounced a load of shots, then the gold starts flying. No point to playing it really since it is countered by $$. Watch the hit log with HEAT going in. Asked one guy why so much gold and he said "well they removed the weak spots". [edited]great job.

Now I remember why I uninstalled this game in the first place. Peace out (again).

No matter what tank I play, roughly 25% of hits are caused by premium ammo. I have even restorted to using 12 rounds of it today to try to pen Japanese tier 5-6 heavies, the ones "with no armour". They bounced off those, but they destroyed an AT2.

EDIT: Think about those of us who are stuck on the AT8 with the horrid starter gun, i.e. "the potato launcher", a.k.a. the spud gun.

Well yeh... add the fact they go 20 and still feel awefully boring to play with useless popguns. i expected nothing less when it comes to british "buffs"

Considering how big that weakspot on the roof is, and that the armor buff on that was not that great. And that most equal tiers and higher can still pen with ease. They don't always need heat.

In 9 out of 10 games last weekend, ~75% of the shells that hit my tank were premium rounds.

The best way to counter it, is to fire 100% premium rounds back.

While not a solution, it at least gives some satisfaction.

Drives a well armored tank that most tanks can't pen with normal rounds....cries about being spammed with premium ammo...just as funny as a player with a japanese superheavy who cries about being primary arty target...

FYI You can buy premium ammo with silver.

Wrong. Shoot and pen them with normal AP when you can, even more fun when you are the paper tank they need premium ammo to pen and bounce some due to angles and you pen them with normal rounds despite their armor and kill them. Expensive game for them either way with a bitter taste of losing despite using "pay2win" ammo.

While true that damaging them with standard ammo would be more satisfying and cheaper, i rarely find myself in situations where i can reliably pen a tank with standard ammo. Yesterday, i was pinned down by a Mauschen in the front, an TD on my left side and a pesky light on my right.

My team was guarding the rear border, i assume they were afraid that enemy re-inforcements could attack the from beyond the red line, so i had only artys keeping those buggers on my flanks in check. The Mauschen was firing premium rounds at me, i assume he had difficulties going through my 120mm turret armor with his standard rounds. :sceptic:

The only way for me to do some damage before going down without exposing myself to more than one gun was to stay put and to use premium rounds to damage the Mauschen.

Because having tanks that are completely immune to regular shells while easily gets penned by premium shells is such a great idea.

Btw, that is the current AT-2 design. The whole Jap heavy line-design.

Not p2w at all.

So you feel that they should either be not pen-able by anything, or pen-able even by the lowest pen standard rounds in that match? How would that be better for the game?

Pen-able by standard ammo in weak spots but by premium ammo anywhere else and you still have huge incentive to fire only premium. Not pen-able by standard ammo from the weakest guns in the match and there is still incentive for them to load premium.

How it would be better?

1: It would require skill to pen an enemy.

Armour should either bounce premium ammo or be pennable by standard ammo, from same tiered and 1 tiered lower tanks.
