So I caved in and bought 3 boxes of each type.

Spent 23.49 Euros and in return I got:

4750g

6 days Premium

700.000 credits.

Not one single tank (don't have any premiums apart from T-127 and T-29, so easy to check).

Mostly L1 decorations apart from the guaranteed L5 in each box that -just- got me to L10

Counting the gold and premium value, I got about 23,50 in value, so I almost broke even.

So now I have reached Festive level 10,

Sharded all the unused/duplicate decorations and now I'm stuck with 2.380 unused shards.

So I'll probably be getting more as the missions still run, but as far as I can see there is NO use for shards once everything is Level V decoration? Can't sell them trade them, gift them...  Any use at all?

Break them up and try and collect the ones you are missing.

Bonus exp if you do.

Yes, use them to craft decos you don't get from missions, to fill up your collection. It increases your bonus.

Offtopic - nice nick you got there :medal:... made me curious, do you by any chance happen to like artillery?

You get more credit and bonus income the more you complete each collection. That and you get bonus camo etc if you complete a full collection. And shards are used to get and buy exactly the part you miss for it. Then again since the event still has 4 more weeks, and missions for boxes will reset every Friday. You still got time to save up more shards and buy the stuff you lack later.

Apparently you got didn't get super lucky with the boxes But like the 2 above me said , aim to completing a collection you want the most for the 48% bonus on XP/credits and crew xp.

Ah yes, thanks, did not think about filling up the collection album for increased boost.

My nick is actually my initials and my surname together :D

And yes, I don't mind a bit of the good old clickery now and then to get my campaign missions done. And to feast on the tears of campers. Only have the M44 thoguh.

OK, so I tried crafting to complete my collection.

Started with Chinese because I already have most of those, L1 is complete, L2 missing 3.

2380 shards later I have:

7x Simple Yellow Lantern

7x Yellow Star Kusudama

6x Red Star Kusudama

And noe of the ones I needed. I don't know what I expected :P

You can CHOOSE what you craft :amazed:

Or am I missing something here?

If I completed all collections, is there any use for the remaining shards?

You can choose the level, kind and type of decoration, but even then there are some categories (like Pendants) that have numerous options. I needed a tree pendant and crafted tree pendants of the right type, kind, level but ended up with all those duplicates and not the one I needed. Seems some are artificially rarer than others?

I figured nearly everything out by myself. I'm a new player. I just missed one part that isn't super obvious. Why be salty instead of helpful like the other players?

It is this kind of attitude that keeps new players from improving. Ask a question, get a pedantic reply instead of help. GG

I did fill up all 4 sets to get the special camos yesterday.

If you want to maximise filling albums you should go for random decoration on specific tiers where you lack decorations until there's 3-4 left in each set.

The more specific things you craft the more they cost. If you go for completely random with tier set only you recover 50% of the cost when scrapping them.

The russian and chinese camos look good.

The modern and traditional look horrible. (I put them on my CW tanks :harp:)

Feast on the tears of agressive campers on the front line, is what you mean.
