Can anyone give me some tips and tricks how to play this tank? I have never played armored TDs, only paper ones. I played few games and I find this tank very solid so far.

Don't camp, play it like a heavy, hide the side tits behind a corner and you get very strong armor

Don't ever sell him. play agressive, go and push, show only your face, the sides and the gun are the weakspots, if you cannot pen shoot HE. Go on coridors, train some repair skills on your crewmembers, do not repair track and ask a medium/heavy to come with you just in case of flankers

I got my Top 1000 spot in March of Nations with this thing. Don't show your MG ports at the side and play it aggressively. Play with the heavies, just plow right into your opponent's face if you can. It is a very powerful vehicle on any map.

Tip: Don't facehug though, even if you do want to get close and personal.

As the previous posters said... the T28 HTC is a very good tank provided you find cover. Angle your tank using the cover in such manner that both tits are hidden from the enemy and the amount of bounced enemy shots will be colossal, even tier 9 will sometimes struggle to pen.

Load a handful of gold rounds - with 224 pen you are all set for these defender, VK 100 and E75 LFPs.

you will bounce 90% of shots off the lower plate of the defender with that crappy gun, you will also struggle to pen the LFP of a half assed played VK.

Edit:

To the OP.

This tank, despite not having an actual turret can recieve "turret damage" which will prevent the traversing of your gun. It has horrible accuracy, awful gun depression, horribly bad pen (all these should not be on a TD this is by a LONG WAY the worst tier VII TD gun in the game) it has no preferential MM so you will be bottom tier alot (this means premium spam and since it doesn't get a credit bonus as it's a reward tank a lot of lost credits) it has massive and easily hit weakspots, even at long range, and NO amount of angling will make them any better. Even if by some miracle you manage to completely hide both weakspots it is a magnet for premium spam. Everything it meets can penetrate it with premium ammo. Since it has such a crappy amount of HP too most heavies you will meet can destroy you in 2 hits (and if they don't, they will ruin your game and leave you very low on HP.

It isn't even useful for training crews, only the two tier X american destroyers have the same crew layout...

Oh and also, the ammo costs a fortune, even the standard ammo is expensive. As a comparison, the standard AP round on this tank is 1,000 credits. This is similar to the Skorpion G (1,070 credits) for 170 LESS damage average per shot.

My advice is to sell it, and buy something useful.

It's a really nice tank and quite fun, if you play it properly.

Mount a tool box, I'm serious, it will make sure your tracks are repaired faster.

Keep pressing "W" if you are top tier, angle the tank at 30 degrees and try and hide the "boobs" on the side, they are pretty much your only weakspots.

If you are bottom tier, play a bit more careful but your armour still works quite well.

I actually released a video last weekend on this tank, take a look at it for playstyle recommendation. The audio is a bit unbalanced because I had the game too loud but after the into it's much better.

Use it for the trade-in for a better tank. Easy.

Don't sell it for cash like others say. Wait for trade in event and then you will get half its value in gold towards a tech tree premium.

Thats a very good point, actually.

There are no premium tanks in TT that interests me currently, tho, but maybe more of them will appear in future so yea it is good to save it for that

No WZ TD love? Acording to wotlabs peeps it's an amazing tank. We may not be Carbon but his results in it were amazeballs.

A while back there was a marathon that required you to be #1 for XP.

This is one of the tanks I used for that.  It's really not fair that tier 6s have to face that thing and if you ever come across one in a tier 5, relocate.  Don't even bother trying to take it on.

I for one really like this TD

Gun traverse angles are its strongpoints, also you can bait shots into your front wheel by overcutting a corner. Side armor there is really nice provided you got the right angle.

Tier Vs can easily deal with the concept.

It has an appalling traverse speed, almost all heavy tanks(including the O-ni) can outrun it in a circle.
