What is it with all the Conspiracy theorists in Wot,

I've been playing online games for over 30 years and it's very rare to see any,

but this game seems to be full of them,

what is it about this game that attracts so many of them,

i mean i know the games full of idiots you see them every battle,

but are their really so many people in WoT who don't understand how RANDOM works ?,

do they Honestly believe they are being singled out and targeted by a multi million £ company,

i just don't understand these people.

When one can not comprehend circumstances or effects of certain sort of (intransparent) mechanics he tends to search for simple, semi satisfying answers. RNG is probably one of the answers.

One thing is for sure though.

Earth is flat in the WoT universe and we have a dome above our heads and the sun is not ~150M km away.

Also "they" will rig everything against you if you are against "them".

Well, WG kinda set themselves up by filing that patent about tweaking rng to level out results, but I still don’t get why so many players with less than 50% WR think that means they are getting picked on, surely they would be the ones to benefit if that was in effect.

When one can not comprehend circumstances or effects of certain mechanics he tends to search for complex , more satysfying anwers, like finding something responsible for what is happening and put blame there.

Yea, but keep in mind to preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly butter both sides of the bread and place on cookie sheet. Layer ham then pineapple on one slice of bread. Sprinkle with marjoram and top with cheese. Bake for 7 to 12 minutes or until cheese is melted and sandwich is heated through and no earlier but then serve hot.

Mostly randomness of several game elements (e.g. RNG, MM), in conjunction with low transparency and feedback (e.g. no ban appeal possible, introduction of "hidden" changes, no or bad feedback on forum posts and censorship, catastrophic support system, etc.), and I think much older player base (many players are entrenched in their belief systems, do not understand the game and its mechanics, much more pronounced defensive and toxic behavior, etc.).

I've been playing games for a long(ish) time too. But I think the difference was that I was either playing on servers where people where good and there was no random noobs or in clans with people who are good. So there was minimal interaction with the lesser players. In this game I have no choice and play with whoever is assigned. That way I am exposed to all those special players much more. When I first started playing this game I was very shock how much whining and reporting was going on. I had a few years break from games before I started playing WoT and at first I could not understand how the world went to sh*t so quickly. But then I came to realise that before I just wasn't exposed to it so much.

You can appeal bans there is a system in place and it works, i was banned once for something i did not do, appealed provided proof i was innocent and the ban was not just lifted but i was also compensated with gold,

Support system works fine as well better than a lot of games i have played,

censorship is normal in games things like naming and shaming or talking about disciplinary actions are against the rules in nearly all games,

as for older player base some of the games i have played have had a much older and more mature player base hell one of the best players i came across was in her 80's.

Half hidden is not enough autaim aims for about the centre of the tank, that,s how fast moving tanks can hit you so easily they don't need to aim, now if you were more than half hidden and they were zipping about all over the placve ehn they were possibly using an aimbot which is illegal send a replay into support.

They don't understand themselves. They hit their skill ceiling....don't understand...don't want to understand.....and so, look for something to blame.

A multimillion dollar company will do what they can to maximise profit. To assume nothing is manipulated is very naive in my opinion.

Terrible players think they're great, and that WG is deliberately shafting them.

Average players think they're great, and that WG is keeping them to 50%

Above average players think they're unicum and that its only WG thats keeping them down

Unicums think they're untouchable and should have 100% WR, and any low roll/a bad player damaging them is proof that WG is deliberately rigging against them.
