Drastic solution to improve balance INSTEAD of balance by skill?

How about simply removing the names of players on both teams from the match interface? Only see the tank models, XVM becoming useless, every battle now approached with reasonable optimism and common sense instead of overconfidence or despair? You will only see the names on the battle results screen.

Had one teammate yesterday complaining before the match that we had omfg again a 30% winchance and another loss.

He went afk at start, we still won by 15-3....

 

They should not allow this stuff to be ingame, simple, it only creates negativity.

Exactly how my interface is configured. No XVM, no clans. The only stat I have is, MoG and I don't get to see the enemy MoG's until they have been spotted.

While the battle is loading I see names and everything else; upon starting, I only want to see the list of tanks.

Yes but it's the ones who install mods who then talk trash about what the mod displays....

I don't give up hope when looking at stats on XVM (although XVM hasn't worked for me since the 19.2 update dropped). Do you know why I don't give up when I see the enemy's stats?

 

I don't give up because I'm not a ponce.

Removing XVM stats and basically hiding enemy player names until least after battle would IMO remove a lot of toxicity from the game, no XVM focus, XVM yolos, cheater/hacker accusations against purples, no tomatoes getting bullied and called names before the game, no people suiciding because they think there team is crap or XVM win chance is low.

If you look at stats and judge opponent with that before fight, you put yourself in unfavorable position. Either you are discouraged or arrogant, both make you unable to fight efficiently. You need indifferent state of mind to maximalise game up to your potential.

I like how naive that is, all you will do is make the people toxic vs all instead of just bad players.

I think more and more players are becoming indifferent even with XVM, 

They see the same old unbalanced BS setups day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year,

People would afk or suicide if there was a lemming train, camping heavies, camping scouts, suiciding scouts, suiciding heavies, arty, no arty etc. XVM is just a popular excuse for tools to be tools, that saves them from making up another reason to be tools. But if removing the names makes you happy, why not.

Not really, are some people just generally toxic? yeh, but XVM causes plenty of problems and it's removal would see a big decrease in toxicity in game. 

 

Especially pre-battle toxicity.

Well to say I didn't platoon at all for my first 1000 games, most of my tanks do 75-100 damage per shot, I'm going up against people who sit in their underwear in their mum's basement playing this game every day of their lives, and in between battles I'm out in the real world having friends and a life, I'd say my stats are fine as they are. :trollface:

how does that help?

teams still unbalanced and steamrolling, but we would only know afterwards how much it was unbalanced ?
