Pros & Cons of watching streamers

Pros:

1) You're sitting/laying and watching someone else deal with the bs mm and crappy teammates

2) They have almost every tank and many special ones your account will probably never have

3) I don't have to play 30k battles for 4 years when some streamer did it for me

4) It's fun (& funny)

5) You don't spend a dime on the game

6) No stress

Cons:

1) You don't have the nice feeling of clipping someone with an autoloader or a big alpha gun

Also i'll do it for you

Sex does not make me want to pull my hair out, like this game does from time to time.

But yet, you don't want to give it up 100%. And you still want to come back to it. So it's the same thing.

Will you still be playing on your original account?

Haven't played it since September, should probably sell it. Could get some decent money

I agree rage is a problem. I don't see comfortable solution for it.

I like the game, the tanks, the playstyle. I just can't stand the MM after 9.18 to the point where i'd rather watch someone play. I am one of those people who liked being the only tier 6 in a tier 8 battle.

Do you see WOT as an investment?

Time investment. Just like any other F2P game. I can play GTA for 1 hour and it'll be enough. Play WoT for an hour and you're gonna finish the session with 3k-5k xp gained on a standard account without boosters. Pathetic time to progress ratio.

1) That explains why Gameplay sub-forum is overwhelmed with trolls and sh&tposters in basically every 2nd thread. :sceptic:

2) WZ and STA-2 bought on Black Friday, Excelsior - invite code tank (actually sold it few days ago, would never buy that piece of cack), T-127 - got it for playing 30 games in 3 days when the account was new. STA-2 isn't even that good. It's actually garbage, a CDC that blocks HE shells. Wow Kappa

3) Yes that account, don't see how my stats are related to the fact i should sell it? Note the 2 month gap between that account and date of creation for this one.

4) It's an OCD thing. I see streamers with everything unlocked and I want that too, but i don't have the wallet warrior capabilities (uni student) nor the time to play 5-6 hour sessions, nor the dedication to grind forever?

5) I don't gain nothing from them, i've already finished them multiple times. They're just more enjoyable and less time consuming than this one.

6) What? I am burned out from grinding because this game is becoming worse every day, not because i've lost my "Gung Ho". Grinding T20 among all these new tanks and premiums....with the new "improved MM"...is just masochism

Anyway if you want to keep going please switch over to my thread, i don't like derailing and i don't want to be in the centre of the attention in someone else's thread.

1) There are indeed many people in the world not satisfied with their lives.

2) Ok, bought 2 with cash, given 1 as an incentive to play again, and bought the last with effort

3) My analysis was based on your desire to sell it despite having good stats.

4) Again, your reply says that to accomplish more, you would have to either spend more cash or time, neither of which you can afford. Hence you have accomplished all that you are willing or able to. And despite being OCD, you are still capable of recognizing that and walking away before what you cannot accomplish drives you completely batty.

5) They are easier for you to accomplish everything you wish to in, hence arguably better games for someone OCD.

6) You perceive it as getting worse every day, but the changes are not daily. The fact that you do not have the time to achieve everything you wish to, compounded by being OCD is, I would argue, making it worse for you than any changes that WG have made.

Don't get me wrong. I am not saying that you are making the wrong decision or that there is anything wrong at all with your leaving. You are a great player and the game will be worse off without you. That you are OCD is likely a big part of what makes you successful in game (and likely at many other things in life). But it is just a game, and if it is getting to you, then you should find something better suited to you.

Oh and you asked to be analyzed (even if you did not ask me specifically) :)

Fair enough. Let's bury the hatchet. You do make some fine points. I guess my OCD for "100% completion" gradually put me away from this game, as the game was designed to be impossible to "100% complete" for 99.9% of people.

Wasn't always like this though. I remember being a happy tomato back when I started the game, even though i was pretty good for a newbie (950 wn8 at just 1000 battles), i didn't have such a high awareness of the things in the game. There was no "100% completion" OCD. Then i bought my first Tier 6 tank, played it badly, then I started watching Quickybaby and Co., WN8 started going up......fast forward 2 years later, i can't stand the game anymore. Lol

edit: I also remember how i was reluctant to play World of Tanks in the beginning, i only did it because i had 3 friends who played it. I mostly played tanks in Battlefield 3 Multiplayer, and i was like "Wow this World of tanks game is kinda lame, all these old tanks".......and the next thing you know, 100 battles into WoT and i become addicted. Textbook example of how the "progression system" captured my OCD problem

But do you know any streamers who play WOT?

When I watch QB, lemming rush etc. they are playing something that looks the same but the enemy actually does not know where they are all the time, and sometimes misses shots. They can drive from place to pace without getting spotted and detracked. Every single hit isn't an ammo rack and tracks and max damage and even their armour works most of the time. Its so unlike the experience of actual WOT that they must be playing a similar looking but different game.

My opinion:

QB sucks- he's good if you are a newcomer and you want to take it to the next level but when i watch his streams i get the ''how is this guy a unicum?'' notion

Lemmingrush- a true unicum, Ideal to learn a tanks playstyle etc however he is from US and  the whole playstyle is different there, he gets away from driving in the open, because there  are less campers  compared to eu. good to learn tanks bad to learn map tactics-positioning

QB can be a bit annoying at times I agree, but I don't think it is sensible to judge his skill from looking at one of his streams. There aren't many, or any, other streamers who will read chat, respond to questions, look up facts and figures, explain what their plan is, and all while in the middle of a battle! Seriously, you didn't take that into consideration? I think most unicum streamers would go into meltdown with that workload. Of course the trendy 'lets knock an easy target' bias could be at work, but at least think before you speak.
