How can you give a country it's own tank tree when it doesn't develop their own tanks. They buy tanks from other countries & just rename/brand or take bits off 1 tank & add it to another. Only in recent years, I'm thinking the 80's did Italy start building military vehicles that weren't pass downs from other nations. And I'm pretty sure we wont see 1980+ tanks in this game!

with plenty of fake tanks already in the game, i think it would be no problem to add an italian tech tree.

yeah sure, as you said, most of them would be reskinned tanks from other nations but they'd at least be real.

New mechanic? Multi turrets then? We already know Poland is coming. But last we heard of Italy, they had a few tanks ready for it. But high tiers was an issue.

.... So basically like a few of the tech trees already in the game. What's your point?

An Italian tree would have a lot more homegrown tanks than a Polish one ...

You could also make an Italian tank line on the german tech tree and call it AXIS Tech tree

Maybe Multi-Turrets? The Halloween-Event could have been some sort of test for this mechanics implementation.

p.s. Oh, and great news about Italy finally receiving its tech-tree. I am looking forward to this underdog-nation.

Hope they will already appear at Christmas 2018 and will not be delayed to spring 2019 like Poland this year. ;)

Have you studied WW2 history? Italy had it's own, homegrown tanks and tank destroyers (They mostly sucked, but that is another story), which were actually taken into production. That's more than we can say about the Czech tanks in the game, which basically stop being real at tier 4. The rest is either blueprint, mockup, or at best a prototype. There is enough original material in the Italien tank industry to get at least to tier 6 wIth existing vehicles. They can always use blueprints for the more advanced models .On top of hat, there is the europanzer (joint development for Italy, France and Germany) which might be used as a tier 8 premium, and they could use an early form of the OF40 as a tier 10 medium.

Shocking lack of historical knowledge. In the years after the first world war the Italians had a thriving tank building and designing industry coming up with a number of quite novel designs. Their light tanks and tankettes were used all across their North Afrcian empire in the inter war years.

In the early part of the North Africa campaign Italian tanks were at a similar level to most of their British opposition.

It was only as the war progressed that the Italians fell behind to the British, although arguably the P26/40 was a decent tank for it's time frame.

Just saw a video on Italian war production yesterday. Problem wasn't even the quality of tanks, but basically all divisions were undermanned and underequipped. Most important logistical systems were severely lacking as well. On top of that, also due to lack of materials, war production was only at 10 - 40% of required levels. So in short, even if the italians had the tanks, they couldn't maintain them and didn't even have enough shells to fire.

My bet would be multi turrets, like the Halloween crap we had.

The specialty of the italian tanks should be that module health on everything decreases during battle and when it  breaks the crew yells 'fiat'.

The upside would be that you can take an additional repair box or an additional italian food consumable. Your choice.

After decoding a some encrypted details in the show, the special mechanic of the Italian tree will be "auto run away" feature after the first shot.

They need new mechanichs: because italian tanks have armour fixed with screws, they need 'Desmembration' Italian tanks have good armour, good guns, bad crew and, a hard hit made their screw to broke, and tanks to lose armour plates

You really are clueless.

Reminded me when you were sure of an arty using cheats to shoot you through a house and already went into battle with your aimbot because that's not cheating.

Well... that's a good news. I think I won't like my national tech tree (from my low notion, Italian tanks were mostly lightly armoured), but I'm courious about this new mechanics too... 2018 may be a good year for wot, afterall! ;)

Mechanic for fiat ones could be they are 30% cheaper than their tier counterparts.

But I guess there ia a TD that should be interesting to play.
