Is it possible to report other players for offensive remarks sent by pm. My 11 yr old plays this game and has no problems with his Xbox account but as soon as he comes onto the PC he gets messages like'go and kill yourself' 'hope your family get cancer and die'.  Yes they are not aware he is 11 and has SPD( a form of autism), but surely this cannot be condoned and these 'keyboard warriors' should be banned

I think there is two optios n, well,  oprio s of the game.

One is for not having chat in game. Other is for others not to be able to send you messages.

Try and raise a ticket with game support. I wish you all luck but i have no hope you will be able to get anything but automatic response.

It shouldn't be condoned or allowed and those doing it should be punished, however prevention is always better than cure.

I'm guessing that he's never played CoD on XBox Live. I used to get insulting texts and threatening voice messages regularly from kids who didn't sound as though they'd gone through puberty, all for the heinous crime of shooting them in a casual game.

Although I can agree that some of those messages can be quite rough, have it ever occured to you that there might be a reason to why players get enraged at your son? Maybe he doesn't know how to play? Maybe he doesn't understand how the game works yet? Maybe he's too young to play? I don't know why, but obviusly there's a problem here from both sides. Players don't get pissed without reason. What annoys me personally is your attitude, "ban them", why, because they get angry? Maybe they shouldn't ban the result of the problem but rather the source of the problem?

I don't know if your son is using your account, but stuff like this might be part of the problem:

I always wonder, how do you do this? Do you block or teamkill? Anyone playing this game atleast partially normal should get atleast 46-48% WR...

You can raise a ticket with support. They will require a screenshot of the PM or chat as evidence.

I have done this in the past.

They will to you what action thay have taken, they will just say that they will act upon it.

WG support has obviusly never heard of Photoshop. Give me an hour or two and I can fix a discussion where Putin blames Trump for being a camping n00b...

Don't condone anthing like this. But have you considered letting him play Tanki Online instead? Probably more suited to his age range.

Its a shame that you get these kinds of messages and those who do send things like that are just low lifes and hope karma gets them for being so toxic and cruel like that

Whilst not condoning the chat msgs.

Sell everything above tier 7 and don't let him play at those tiers.

There are 1103 games in that tier 9 Jagdtiger at a 44.7% win rate with a 457 wn8 rating.

Also the T10 has 800+ battles at 40% win rate......etc etc etc

Good players try and escape the terribad players (like me and your son) at high tiers, so joining in with bot like stats will cause people to get angry.

Just like on console, you can disable PM via the settings. Just like you can turn of chat during the battle. As they are there for you as a parent to use in the first place.

And if he don't get them on his Xbox account. I'm amazed. As I get them more often there playing FPS online, then I do here in this game. I get 10 a day playing BF1 to name one.

For  a start your 11 year old should not be playing this game read the rules,

as for private messaging after battle take a screenshot and send it into support.

Valid point, I frequently forget about that age restriction. Which begs the question, is a game which is 100% built around simulated violence a healthy distraction for any child (or adult for that matter) who is on the spectrum?

To me that was just a feeling, but this thread just confirms it.

First things first:

Last time I checked, the game was PEGI13 and I still think that kids shouldn't play games like this one, especially not if they have autism. There are thousands and thousands of games on the market, including ones where your kid might even learn something, so why oh why do you special parents always choose games like this one? That's something I'll never understand.

Now about the problem you have:

Yes, the game can be quite toxic, especially since WG doesn't really care about it. So you will get the odd ragecomment every now and then, like in every other big game that's hyped a lot, especially everything that's about shooting and killing.

But you also cause players to rage at you, simply by the way you play, because that account is played at the level of a BOT. That means that you are a huge burden and will ruin lots of matches for your whole team. And that definitely causes some anger.

Your options:

1. Deactivate the chat and private messages in the options. Warning: That will most definitely make you even more of a burden for your teams.

2. Stop playing hightier tanks and play at tier FIVE until you managed to learn the very basics (that includes reading the wiki and watching some YT tutorials).

Optional: Depending on what those people wrote, you can try starting a support ticket. But don't expect any help.
