So you try to run as hard as you can in the hamster wheel while they last. And also, if you take a break, you'll have to get a new carrot. Therefore time-limited carrots are a great thing to dangle in front of someone if you want them to do things for certain stretches of time. If someone wants his carrots chopped, they need new ones, as the old one has gone moldy and got thrown away. This, I guess, promotes the sale of carrots.

I think its because WG, can count on the facts like Time wasted..

1. When initially switching on PRs "Clock starts ticking"!

2. When you waste the timer choosing your tank " Tick Tock"!

3. When you waste the timer choosing PM "Tick, Tock"!

4. When the timer is wasted by the battle logging on "Tick, Tock" !

5. When the timer is wasted by the count down prior battle starts "Tick Tock"!

6. When your killed during battle and exit the battle "Tick, Tock"!

7. When the timer is wasted during the results and the re-entering garage mode "Tick, Tock"!.....

These are but a few reasons WHY WG will NEVER change to battle count. TIME is MONEY, YOUR MONEY THERE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!

"ITS A BUSINESS DONT YOU KNOW, NOT A CHARITY"

Respect to ALL, Cheers :)

Because if they were measured in battles instead of complaining about wasted time you would be complaining about short blow-out battles.

Funny that, it was mentioned they were planning to offer boosters which lasted for X battles to go alongside the timed ones.

You should able to choose. Eather 2hours or 12 battles. Generally one would lose, if chosen battles, but current 2h is way too long in some days to play in a row.

I have never bothered to look to see what they actually sell but there are 1h (and 4h) versions too...

I hate 2hr reserves.Somedays you gonna suck, teams will suck, gonna win 1/10 games.Keep playing to fully use the 2h reserve is a no no most of the time for me.My performance would be even worse playing tilted.I even let them expire with 1hr+ remaining.

I don't care that much if I waste time from them. WG give so many away on missions I rarely get below 99. I suppose if you buy them it's a different matter but if I have a choice between Guinness and personal reserves I know what I'm gonna piss up the wall :teethhappy:

TBH, I'm with Comfy - currently got about 75 assorted boosters, all accumulated in-game, as rewards (since WG seem keen to use them as a substitute for something actually useful...)

I tend not to pop them unless I'm sure I'll be playing for a good couple of hours, and usually save them until we're on a x3 or x5 event, as the bonuses stack - can make a big difference if one is grinding a first-or second-skill on a crew (after that, each skill takes rather a lot of XP!).

When they first came out, I'd keep smashing the "Battle" button as fast as I could switch tanks, and of course this lead to a deterioration in my already rather average performance in-game, and a level of frustration at the usual run of hilarious MM-fails...

Now? I play pretty much as usual, and don't worry about the ticking timers - including wandering out to the kitchen to make Mrs Tagger and I a cuppa!

I appreciate, I'd feel differently if I'd bought the wretched things as a consumable, but as I said - WG have been giving them away hand-over-fist lately :teethhappy:

Those boosters are quite nice in combination with a few bottles of beer and good music to get the grind through some horrible tanks done and over with.

Why not measure them in server crashes?

I've never actually used them so I am sitting on a shed load.  I never feel as though I can commit to that much time in a single session.  Too much else to do....

I don't mind it being measured in hours, that way you take regular breaks.

Actually, that's a really good point, Cobra - this is why I tend to use the 2hr boosters most of the time - cos that's about the right interval between tea / meal breaks, or in an evening after work...

Also lets not forget that when they changed the camouflage you can get for credits from a set time (either a month or a week) to a number of battles (100) it merely took minutes for the first whiner to come here and cry about the 'greed' of WG.

Let's face it:

WG has a game mechanic that is active for a specific time length - People complain and call WG greedy.

WG has a game mechanic that is active for a specific number of battles - People complain and call WG greedy.

Even if WG would give all accounts a whole year of premium for free we would get to see some people complaining about it.
