Why doesn't a small tank shake when hit with a big shell?

It really logically should.

Will it do so when the game switches over to the new engine in the spring?

When a small tank is hit by a big shell there is no longer a small tank, that is why it doesn't shake.

Like it has been said, activate dynamic camera. It makes things more lively, especially near ammoracked tanks.
