I've been playing this game for a couple of months so far... Bought 11 christmas boxes and got this tank on the third one...

Am i supposed to be insanely lucky to roll this tank? So far im a LT-TD player, and im struggling putting this thing into use. Getting better games playing wz-131 as medium than with this one.

Type 59 isn't that great of a tank.

Type 59 used to be OP but is pretty balanced in the current line up.

Play it for the tank it is and forget the hype, that's exactly what I'm doing

you are very lucky guy. :medal:

pro-tip: get yourself a T-34-1,

retrain the type 59 crew to that one and make the most of 2x daily wins (swapping crew between those tanks)

don't sell the T-34-1 once you elited it, because it will teach you a lot that you will need

to field that premium tank successfully. Just because the T-34-1 is a lot softer.

I personally have a WZ-120 with the former type 59 crew and an additional T-34-3 to make use of daily wins and crew xp weekends even more. :)

but it only works because type 59 and t-34-3 have limited matchmaking.

thanks a lot for the answers.

I'm basically smashing on this tank basically because im aware of how [edited]lucky i was to get this tank, but i'm realising it needs a lot of game knowledge and constant rethinking to truly shine.

My best games with it, i managed to track and cover from enemies properly, found good hulldown positions, and basically, made the cannon sing almost after each reload, getting snapshots such as through the space under train carriages, or thru small windows.

The thing is that i'm only able to do so on few games, where a mix of luck and absolute focus happened. I'm still very noob to the game, and even noobier to combative close combat tanks, but ill follow your advices and get the t-34-1, so i can weave between those 2.

Damn this game needs a lot of thinking! Im loving it so much, but can become frustrating to enjoy, since im still too noob to put the "auto" mindeset. Need to stay evaluating crapcontantly (many times taking useless decisions)...

yeah, there are some tanks that are absolutely devastating,

when the player is in some kind of "flow".

you are a good player.

because you are able to reflect and see what you do wrong and need experience.

hence, it is not a bad idea to try several tier 5 tanks for example,

across different nations/lines, as imo there the classes are distinct enough to learn.

map knowledge is cruicial tho, and I have much to forget and learn again :(

knowing, from where you can get shot, and where you can shoot,

how fast you can get from A to B, and where the enemy might go and be at time X

don't rush to tier 10, it's not much different there,

but errors are punished instantly.
