Thousands of battles, win rate just 45%, sometimes even as low as 42%,

yet very good hit rate and average damage stats (better than mine).

This is a relatively recent thing I have noticed,

in the past bad players' stats were more uniformly bad.

What does this mean?

People have begun figuring out how to hit things they aim for? But still fail at the minimap reading / battle awareness part? Still, it means hope might be looming on the horizon. perhaps a decade from now, they'll figure out this whole minimap business.

I mean, my damage always has been subpar compared to my WR, old classic issue on my part. But most of my damage is done in the early game, so there's that. And I pay attention on the minimap to decide my actions.

Possibly players botting to gain XP and/or credits and then actually playing like an average players when they aren't botting?  Is their 'vehicles detected per game' quite low?  It's a shame the average distance travelled per doesn't seem to be a published stat.

Camping, doing their damage when the battle is already decided and the enemy carelessly rushes the camping spots.

Playing TDs is a surefire way of increasing maximum damage.

Depending on how the system works, the Panzer 1C might be a nice way of getting your hit percentage up; pretty sure it doesn't count penetrations.

Probably just playing a lot of tier 10. Rushing in doing 2 or 3 shots of damage a game and dying horribly

Aimbot and gold spam.

It is somehow funny when a tomato pops up over a ridge and snap-shots your  commander cupola or some tiny weakspot. And i struggle like hell to hit a commander cupola...:sceptic:

Ive had ingame chats both with 45% players who think they are good because have higher avg damage than me and 45% players who think I must be a bad player because they have a higher hitrate.

They are ofc correct because winrate is luck.
