Hello

I recently started new tank and got first mark of excellence after around 30 battles so got thrilled and wanted to do better. I thought and also find such information over internet that this is counting avg dmg+spot/assistance from last 100 battle so before hitting first 100 battles I can only do better. My observations although are different as after bad battles, this % showed in statistics can drop significantly. Can anyone help me understand how is this counted?

Spot/track dmg + your dmg. Its wery simple for geting marks with tracking or rushing (Agresive gameplay )

 

For tier 5 you need  1500 combo for tier 6 you need 2k-3k combo for nice jump. In tier 8 + you need 4k + combo for nice % jump. And in tier 10, for good game you need do minum 5k combo.

 

 

And jes - binos + food + gold wery help. On last 5% you cant miss or richoshet any shots, and you cant miss tanks on mini map.

I've seen players with 1/2 marks on there tanks and I've checked how well they do in those tanks and they had like average dmg 700 in a tier 7 tank but had 2 marks on there tank? But 1000 games in that tank as there most played so I'd also like to know how the [edited]they got there marks

Dont look in avg dmg, its for wn8. For marks best is assist dmg

Recent games matter a lot more than history. I have three marks on T-34 (tier 5 Russian med), but only 519 DPG. It's because I played the tank for 350 battles in 2011 when I was a beginner, and now later only to get gun marks.

 

Also, they may have not actually played the tanks themselves for the marks... for various reasons.

does moe count spotting+ track +average damage or does it count only the higher amount  of spotting or track + average damage? if am not mistaken someone said that it counts the higher value of either spot or track damage and not both?

The "better than 95% of players" is complete bs. It is closer to (or exactly if i remember what that link above says) achieving 95% of the combined damage of what the best player achieves. Which means better than +99%.

2. They probably went all out to try and 3 mark for a while, running food and firing only premium and hiding at the back then gave up.

If this were true, I would probably not have a single tank with one mark. Any unicum does easily about 2x my average.

The standard required for the marks can also vary over time. I three marked the crusader when it was a light tank. A week or so ago, I played a battle with it for the first time since it was moved to be a medium. Even though I had a pretty poor battle, the MOE percentage jumped in that one battle from about 96 to 100%. Obviously, people aren’t doing so well in the crusader since the changes. The same thing happened in the Stug IV. No doubt due to the introduction of orders and the resulting drop in level of players with this tank....

 

well, as it is at 100%, the crusader has now been retired.

you can, it count only for las 14 days. Mor easy is get marks after server restarts (then if you fail with low combo dmg you will get lover minus % on marks)

Btw, when i go for 3nd mark on my cromwel, i some times go only for pure spoting.

 

1. Higer tier mach with full off TD

2. Open map

3 rushing beffore my team

4 die in 5 min - but get 3-4k spot dmg

5. Affter mach get 0.8 - 1.2 % to marks

It means stat padders stopped playing Crusader, so the MoE requirements went way down.

i recently rebought my T20 as my average damage was awful in it and I wanted to at least boost it a bit. i first played it when I was a scrub with no clue and before the marks were released, when when I came back to it as a decent player I ended up getting he 3rd mark quite easily yet my average damage is still abhorrent = pointless to look at it.

I thought the x% required is the % compared to all other players of that tank during the past 14 days. Therefore if it is a popular tank you are comparing against a lot of players, and likewise, if it is played by a lot of good players, then it takes more work to reach the MoE than if few players, and fewer good players are playing it.

It’s a moving average over 100 games, whereas your DPG is all your games in the tank. if you have played 1000s of games you could be much bettter than the start .

That doesn't explain the discrepancy; neither my own performance nor my standing in the MOE % ladder vary wildly, I just consistently get 1 or 2 marks with performance that cannot possibly exceed even 50% of what the best men achieve.

Its based on the results achieved by the players of that tank over the past 14 days. So if, lets say, 100 players pick a certain tank over a 14 period, then you need to achieve better than 65% of them to get 1 mark, cant remember the % for 2 marks, and 95% of them to get 3 marks. The calculation is based on damage done and assisted, spotted, tracking etc.

So if more players pick that tank, and more better players pick it, you need to do more damage than if fewer players and more bad player pick the same tank. 

Therefore, the amount of damage will vary depending on who else is playing that tank.
