Did Wargaming say anything about what is going to happen with the beloved T-10? I just re-bought it to three mark it, and because i read that it would be moved to a new line. Will it get removed from my garage and replaced with the new soviet tier 9 heavy, or will it get moved to a new line where i from there can get the new tier 10? Is there a risk that it will just suddenly get removed from my garage with all the equipment and camo without me getting any compensation/replacement?

We don't know yet. But going by past and recent tech tree moves. I suspect you will still keep it when it moves. So I would not worry to much about it. It's what happens to the line that we don't know if you have the IS-7 unlocked that is. But when the VK B moved to a new tier X. You got the new tanks unlocked in the tech tree if you had the Maus unlocked. But you still had to grind the VK B again on the new line to get the new tier X that it moved to. So I guess they will do the same here.

It could be worth leaving ACT off in case they do it the same as they did with the Maus move.

Of course, being WG they will do it completely differently this time.

Yeah that's the thing. They usually don't follow the same methods many times in a row. Or when they have a change of staff in charge of it. But still it's safe to say that regardless of their move, if you have the IS-7 unlocked or not will be a deciding factor.

So if you have the T-10 unlocked but not bought do you buy it sharpish or leave it?

The one thing which WG have treat consistently is that anything unlocked stays unlocked.

It will be removed (unlikely) but you will keep it as a reward tank, or it will be down tiered and you will get the replacement but also keep it, or it will move sideways to another tree and you will still keep it.

It's a real tank that was built and used in numbers. Such tanks are usually not reward/premiums.

It's not getting taken out of the tech tree like the other tier X's that turned into a special tank. But rather it's getting moved to a new line, staying on tier 9 as is going by the leaked 9.22 tech tree layout.  Like the German tier 9 VK 45.02 B did when it was moved. So those that own it will still keep it as is. As pointed out above, anything that stays unlocked will remain unlocked. As that's always been consistent, even if you own the T-10 or not, but have it unlocked.

Spoiler

The deal is what happens to the new tanks taking it's place in the tech tree, and the new line he will move to. If you have to research those or not is the issue, or the new tier X he leads to. That we have no idea how they will sort out. As with the German VK 45.02 B, How that was decided for you was if you had the tier X after it unlocked or not, regardless if you owned it. It's that aspect that have never been consistent the times they have done line changes and splits like this.

Reward tank? Ok, need to get cash to rebuy it. But... are you sure about it?

All the leaks say it is staying where it is but will lead to a different tier X.

The most likely scenario is that you will keep it and any exp on it and if you have the IS-7 unlocked you will keep that unlocked but will have to research the new tier X.

If you don't unlock the IS-7 before the change then most likely you won't get the new tier IX unlocked either.

But WG have never been consistent with their changes so wait for the test server.  Even then it could change at the last minute.

They will probably think of a way to make us grind something...

I would reckon that if you currently are grinding the IS7, finish the grind soon as all your XP on the T-10 will be moved to a new tier 10 as IIRC that is what happened with the VKB, people who wanted to Maus had their XP put towards the Pz VII.

I expect it will be moved to a new line, you will keep it, but wont get the tank its being changed with for free, you will need to grind that one out if you want it.

Alternatively, if you want the new tier X then WG will probably move the exp across to the replacement tier IX as they did with the US light tanks.

Or they might move it to something random like they did when the T-50-2 was swapped for MT-25 (KV-1S at that time IIRC).

Yes, it all depends on if it's the T-10 or the IS-7 that moves.

They did. As the XP moved with the tank. But if you already had the Maus unlocked, and the VK B elited. You still had to grind the VK B again to unlock the Pz VII. So I suspect you have to grind it again regardless of what happens.

Unused elite XP should move with the tank though and you can then use it on the new tank, that happened with the 1390 when the AMX 30 first came into the game, you could either convert the free XP or use it to unlock the AMX 30.  So If you grind elite XP on the T-10 it should allow you to use it on new tier 10 that will lead of the T-10.

I kept mine and drove on to both unlock and also purchase the IS7. Don't get me wrong I didn't do it for that reason I obviously wanted both tanks but I got caught out before when the T54 light was changed and no longer unlocked the T54 medium which was the only reason I went down the that light line in the first place!! That said, you have the tank unlocked and I hadn't so is different... still...
