I own the former but not the latter. For some strange reason I did enjoy grinding through Panther II and I was wondering about the speed / agility of Panther 88 - the maximum speed is lower, but from what I have seen on YouTube it accelerates better and is more agile, so at short distances I might actually reach the desired location faster?

The Hitler Panther is one of those tanks that you either love or hate. its the size of a house but has really decent pen and does make a lot of credits.

I don't play mine.   Only because I'm playing better Tier 8 machines.   I feel the 88 plays a lot like the M10 just stuck a tier higher.

Grinding the Panther II at the moment. It is a fairly comfortable grind, though I won't be keeping when done, unlike the Panther, which was a keeper for me.

Don't buy panther 88, it is the worst 8 tier premium medium tank. It has the worst premium penetration of all the normal 8 tier medium tanks. It is huge, armor is useless, it has crappy camo. You can do very little In tier 10 games with it.

I know about it being weak, I am just interested in how well it moves compared to Panther II.

I am happy with the tank, nice gun,390m basic view range, very good dpm and good hp pool of 1500. Exact same crew layout as E50M.

Panther 88 is the Panther 2 with the 88L71,  bit faster mobilidy, superfluous less armored and more DPM (fires faster). Given the gun, if correct has the best DPM of the tier 8 meds. (not that armour exists today with all the gold spamming).

The guns is superb, is amazing sniper, and if played as such, is a blast to play even in tier 10 battles.

Yes there are better Tier 8 premiums, eg the Mod 1 which is OP, but anyone who likes the Panther 2 and wants a descent German premium med, is great.

I do not have much time to play mine, but I do not regret one bit buying it.

Again, is a sniper second/third line support tank to utilize the superb gun. If you want brawler get the Mod 1.
Is pure and simple camper and at late stages of the battle can move around (and is fast), given the sheer 47t with modules. Also it can can bully with it's weight all non german meds, most lights and the Swedish 8/9 heavies.

It has almost 400 less dpm than the Object 416, and is only very slightly above the TVP VTU, Indien Panzer and T-44-100. And tier 8meds arent that great by most standards in general.

I got mine gifted fro ma friend, really don´t know what to make of it. The Panther M10 just feels much more comfortable...

I'm not really enjoying mine.

the panther II, while I don't take it out that often, can now handle itself much better due to the addition of the long long 88, which has incredible accuracy. also to note, the gold pen on it is also fantastic

The Hitler Panther

Also, screaming "DEUTCHLAND!" or "DEUTCHLAND POWER!" at the top of your lungs after every kill in Hitler's propaganda voice helps get 5+ kills per game.

Don´t do inside of Germany though, or you might get a surprise visit from the Verfassungsschutz.

"Craps" is a dice game, the correct form here would be singular despite referring to multiple objects.

Both those tanks are one of the worst on tier, with T34-2. No armor, low alpha, big target, low dpm on Panther 2, no camo, low mobility. 240 alpha on MT that is as big as HT is crapdeal. Low pen Panther 88 means you cant pen some tier 8, and spamming APCR on premium tank is pointless.

Tiananmen in a Chinese tank

I just start speaking extremely nasally while not using my tongue and only moving my mouth. Best Chinese accent ever.

Both are crap, the Panther 2 is a bit less crap because of the comedy 88 it got recently and a few other little buffs. The Panther 88 is probably one of worst tier 8 premiums now since most of the others have had some love, ok it's still probably better than the Jt88 and KaJaPa, but even the latter is getting a new 105mm gun.

Personally I would love to see the Panther 88 get 3k base DPM, which is the DPM you get with the long 88 on the E50, leave the rest of the tank as it is, no armour, mediocre mobility, mediocre gun handling etc. but give it that special scary DPM as something that makes it stand out.

Plus they probably need to buff the pen of the 88, especially the prem rounds, 203 and 237 has been power crept hard.

Not quite that passive.

The problem with that gun is the DPM.

Pen of the L/71 is sufficient.

Back in the day, I chose it over the 105 on the Tiger II (this is before the 105 was buffed)

The thing that kills the L/71 on the Panther II is the godawful gun handling. 2.7s aim time on a sub 90mm gun? That's practically Russian boomstick level.
