My tier 8-10 "team" on Malinovka, left-side base, did not leave the base at all. No fast tank went to K3, NO ONE went to the hill or even tried to spot their base across the field, nothing. I was in a clumsy TD with no armour, two arties per team, so all I could do was hide and hope for some spots, hope for a miracle which of course did not happen, we were duly surrounded and picked off, one by one.

I honestly don't understand what would entice the entire team to behave so passively. Did they all have XVM that showed the enemy team much stronger? Usually even bad players will still try to deploy, do some spotting, go out and brawl. WOT gameplay is becoming so mind-numbing.

Just 1 battle? In a random game, with random players in random teams?

Not really strong evidence of any trends is is?

Never had stupid battles like this a few years ago.

This sheep waiting for slaughter attitude is quite new.

It is even worse than the already endemic yolo rushes.

One battle is more than enough for quite a few people on these forums to draw conclusions... get with the program, buddy!

What conclusion, troll?

I merely asked a question and got

evasive maneuvers in return :)

Troll?  I'm not the one trying to get 15 threads up on the forums with vacuous nonsense each day.  Take this topic, for example you show shock at behaviours which has been prevalent in WoT, across all tiers pretty much from day one.  Why?  You seem to have this odd fascination with bots/bad players 'ruining your game' and thought that this boring anecdote may add to the amazing stockpile of 'evidence' you seem to be gathering.

Some players just sit there and expect 'miracles' to happen, good players make them happen ;)

Meh, I have it the other way around when I get that map in my LT. I always go for the aggressive spot; either F/G6 or the ridge at D8 and get crap spot dmg...even when patietly waiting for my team (TDs) to get in position. I hate going K3 cuz I get blind fired a lot...

Is it due to christmas?

I see a lot more battles where a team completely abandons a flank than some months ago.

It to me seems like this almost lemming behaviour happens more on the open maps.

Maybe you weren't here during the everyone go hide in the woods phase?

Wasn't called Campinovka for nothing.

The 'Magic Forest'. Remember it well, jeez imagine the constant stream of poo-posts if the game was still like that, his little paws would be going ten-to-the-dozen lol

First thought with everyone hiding in the woods would not be about Malinovka; original Murovanka first, then (removed) Komarin. Looking at the list of removed maps, Wargaming really should reintroduce most of them...

Again, I remember 'Magic forest' as the East side forest of the original Murovanka.

I've heard of this fabled place. A place so magical, even a type 5 heavy could enter and completely vanish for the next 15 minutes....happily derp sniping away at everything that dared venture close.

A map I really would like to see returned is North West, a seemingly very good map that had little options for base camping halfwits as they couldn't see the majority of the map from their safe place. It had many optons and avenues of attack for both sides and didn't ever feel like a camp fest. Any flank that seemed to be locked down could be flanked and attacked from other places and you were never out of options. Felt like a good balanced map which all types and styles of tank could appreciate and play well on.

Magic forest was on Murovanka, and it would not be unusual to find both teams in there unable to spot each other 51m away due to the trees.

But there was a time when everyone would go to where the arty spawns on both sides of Malinovka, that or hide behind the houses/rocks in base.  I've seen six or more tanks crammed behind one rock.

Komarin went through a phase of everyone about turn and camp in the woods for 15 minutes.

Before the A0 end was flattened everyone would camp the ridge on El Halluf.

I agree - I recall feeling that I generally did well on this map (based entirely on the Feels, of course!), and as it was pulled before I had many higher-tier vehicles, that may skew my recollections... I recall it certainly suited my playstyle, when I had mainly Meds and TDs...

To address our little Furry Friend's OP - while I see why you considered it worth a "WT actual F??", why should this "team" response be much more surprising than the (admittedly common) "Let's all rush off up the '0' line, or whatever that map might be prone to? Every time you hit the 'Go' button, you get a random roll of 30 dice, which sooner or later is gonna come up with 30 x 1, or whatever it takes to cause 14 random duds to behave as you describe...
