So I have 8500 gold coins, I want a premium tank, to make credits and have a good time, Should I get:

  • T26E4 Super Pershing
  • T-54 First Prototype
  • FV4202
  • Panther M10  (tier 7 but has very positive reviews)

This are my options, the rest of them are ugly for me.(like M4A1 rev.)

Here is my account:https://worldoftanks...dangertank1203/

If you want to know what fits me better.

Thanks in advance.

One does not simply call the M4A1 Rev. ugly! :izmena:

Out of your list, I would say Mod1, personally enjoy it the most.

I'd go for the T54 Mod 1, as you currently own a T34-85. Its a decent crew trainer and will get you the extra credits.

Panther M10 is a fun tank to drive and as it meets a most tier 8 its not that complex either. I drive it to relax and just have some fun.

I picked the FV as I was surprised how fast it is ingame. Altough it's only "decent". It's not as good as the mod. 1

This, fun tank and decent credit maker.

Based on your tanks I’d say T54mod. It’s golden as top tier but realistically you’re going to play against higher tiers in majority of battles in which case it’s not great. Still probably the most forgiving of the tanks in your list and you want good Russian med crews!
The Revalorise a better tank tho :-)

Using those gold coins to buy premium time will produce much more silver for you than purchasing a tier VIII premium tank. Might even be more fun, since you can then play the tech tree tanks that you enjoy and still run at a profit.

SuperPershing is quite fun to play, but the penetration on the standard shell means that the 2 key is more often required and so less silver profit.

While the T8s you've mentioned are rather good for their tier and type, they honestly kind of suck overall. The matchmaking's nothing short of crap for T8s.

Panther/M10 is great, but it doesn't look like you're too interested in German medium tanks. That's kind of too bad; it's an above-average T7 medium tank with familiar gameplay that doesn't see T9s. IS-3s will be nasty - but it sure as heck beats battling a JPE100 with a T-54 Mod.1 - which is a nice tank that gets entirely shat on by the matchmaker. Your armor is useful against many T8s, but it's paper for anything higher. Suddenly, your lack of speed will be a rather huge problem. Super-P. has more 'relaxed' matchmaking, but relies on armor that isn't all that strong, and just about everyone and their mother knows where to shoot it. There are situations it can work, but most fights are too close for comfort.

I would say go with the one that will train a crew that your interested in making better!

Therefore it is probably going to be the Mod 1 as, who does not need a good Obj 140 crew...

I only have the FV4202P of those 4 personally.

It is a very nice tank.

A nice Crommy crew is a nice thing to have aswell though! (God of tier 6 skirmish...)

Not to mention the Centurion AX which is a lovely tank to aim for!

The Panther M10 is meant to be fantastic at tier 7!

Love my E50, so that's a grind worth doing aswell.

Super P... Nope not for me.

Though the Patton is certainly worth the grind!

Good luck!

P.S. After reading the post above again. He has a very valid point! Tier 8 matchmaking is aweful right now! M10 could well be the fun way... (At the moment)

Do you think t-54 mod worth the gold? or Panther M10? for credit making mostly.

one drawback of the Panther M-10 is the "special" matchmaking,

as one should only platoon with other tier 7 tanks with same limited matchmaking.

Mod 1 and 4202 are quite comparable as whole and I would pick either of them out of those tanks you listed. Mod 1 has more alpha, cheaper shells, more DPM, lot better hull armor and better accuracy on move, while 4202 is faster, has better depression, better turret armor, has better accuracy, view range and penetration.

I honestly think that the 4202 might be overall better solely because it does slightly better when bottom tier. Mod1 is amazing when top tier but the problem is the lack of top tier games - most of them being bottom tier, and the mod1 gets shat on when bottom tier, even harder than majority of tier 8s.

Tier 8's were always better for credit making without a doubt.

Whether it is fun playing them right now is another question?

I believe the Mod 1 got a penetration buff, that makes it worthwhile now.

Though I seem to remember that it's ammo capacity is quite bad!

I suggest you watch some reviews by; Quickybaby & Circonflexes on Youtube to get a better idea.

Cheers

P.S. It maybe worth watching their comments on the patchnotes with the buffs to the various tanks aswell. I believe they both produced video's covering them.

I'd say FV for credits (due to its standard penetration) and M10 for fun (due to its more generous MM and pew-pew). 54 has its moments but is a bit too MM sensitive. Have not played the SP but dislike playing against it. :P

as someone who plays mostly rejected and/or really ugly tanks, go for the revalorise! :P

but, do you really want any of them? spending all 8k gold on one seems a little silly if you ask me

I think the better option would be to save your gold for crews, demounting equipment, trading for free xp, camo's and whatnot. which will have a better outcome than a tank you potentially wont like to play, or do well in.

you'll still going to need to do well to make those credits in any meaningful amount (should you be buying it for that reason), otherwise it would be better just running a PZ 4H with the 105mm (or some other T5) as it would be close to the same credit wise, but wont face high up, intimidating opponents

but, what fits you better? were I you, id probably realise that I suck and play so awful in basically everything that my credit income is now in the toilet, and that I should drop a few tiers and learn the game a bit better (first step is acceptance, second is actually doing it!)

I did what you have, went up to a few T8 tanks (OBJ 416 was the first T8 I owned, and you can tell...), i realised that i was a failure and I suck there, and went back to my T5/6's until I learned more about the maps and game, and the enemy I fight..

recently went through the 65T and got the M4 51, and that thing is an absolute beast

its surprising what lower tiers can teach you, even if the gameplay and tanks are different

id go back to your PZ 3/4 or a 4H, or an M4 or something, and try to get your damage per game up and over your hitpoints, when you can do that reliably, move up the tiers. you'll find the game (hopefully) more fun that way, and you'll make more credits per battle as well

I bought one over Christmas and I really like it but (and it's a big but ... and it cannot lie or something) buy one because you want one, not because you think it'll be a strong premium tank. Everyone knows its weak points (where to shoot it frontally) and it's not very mobile. The Patriot is a better medium tank despite being classed as a heavy, that should tell you enough about the Spershing to know if it's for you. It looks good, it has preferential match-making but it's an acquired taste.

It's always useful to get a premium that you can play with a crew from a line you're grinding. The crew get additional training and you're not trying to play with a 0-skill 75% crew against players with 3 or 4 skills on their crew in tanks they know inside-out. That's the downside of tier 8 premiums that face tier 10 and honestly, looking at your stats I'd advise against jumping in the deep end because you can still lose credits in a tier 8 premium tank, even with a premium account.

Of the tanks you've suggested, I'd say the Panther/M10 would be the best choice. It's not going to set the world on fire but it'll earn credits while not seeing tier 9. A second option might be the VK 45.03 - I don't have one but those who do seem to enjoy playing it and despite being a tier 7 tank, it has a tier 8 credit multiplier so you can earn decent returns without necessarily suffering the same punishment as you'd get in tier 8.

If you're buying with gold, try to wait until there's a discount. They come around periodically, we've recently seen 15% off tier 8 premiums bought with gold so hopefully it won't be long until the lower tiers are discounted, particularly as lots of players are gold-rich thanks to the Christmas boxes.

None of those as the standard prems are not a patch on the specials and its a shame you already have the gold as don't think u can the current special of the T26E5 with gold.
The specials are head and shoulders above the rest.
The ugly tank you mention is one of the best credit earners going but hey ugly maybe the M4 Rev is.
The lowe since buffs is a useful tank that as a super heavy can be used in SH.
S1 even though I hate the damn things seems to be quite popular.

The Type 64 can be a lot of fun but obviously is much cheaper than the amount of gold u quoted.

Apart from that your shopping list for my own opinion is a bit mweh.
Did the FV get the turret buffs and is more like the Primo now? As out of that lot prob the FV.
But what lines have you got and what crews do you want to train as maybe just get a complementary pr em for those daily x2 and x3's and occasional run out.
