Good day Chaps, I bought the AX yesterday and I'm wondering what equipment I should put on it. I currently use a rammer, vents and vert stabs. But I wonder if there's any better loadout.

loadout is partly about your playstyle too

while rammer would go mostly unquestioned

you might find players argueing if you need vents/v stabs or replace one of the with optics

Generically, for me

Mediums - Vents Rammer Optics

Heavies - Vents Rammer Vstab

But this isn't set in stone, some tanks have a good enough reload that I don't use rammers, and if view range is desperately poor swap in optics for vents

I have a 6 skill crew with rammer, vertstabs and optics.

Arround 3200 dpm, 490-ish viewrange. Spots and snaps shots like a boss.

I use the exact same equip as you and yhink it works.

Could forgo ventilation for coated optics or gun laying drive but I prefer it as it is.

I sue vents/v-stab/rammer because I have a 6 skill crew with full recon, full sit awareness and BIA, plus I play it with food, so don't feel i need optics as I have good enough view range 99% of the time.

But it's a playstyle thing, some people will chose optics.

It's generally always rammer and always v-stab, plus either vents or optics. That is pretty much standard for every medium tank and most heavy tanks that are able to mount them.

Are you for real? Vents over vstab? Ok...and no rammer on "some tanks"....jeez...the holy trinity is this...rammer vstab and optics....and you only change it in 2 different situations....if you tank has either bad viewrange that you won't benefit from optics(ie russian heavies and tds) or if you tank has bad gun handling you go for vents over optics....or if you play an autoloader...you change it to either vents optics vstab or if your aim time is horrendous you put vents gld vstab or if you have crapaimtime but good view range you can put optics gld vstab....see this...see...VSTAB IS ALWAYS THERE!!!

I run Vents/Rammer/Vstabs. But replace the Vents with optics, i dont run optics as i have like a 7 skill crew and get 474 meters view range without it.

Anything that can mount a V-stab, should mount a V-stab

gun rammer is mandatory

and for medium tanks

you can either go Vents or Optics.

In brawl situations, vents are better,

Optics become more useful, mid to late game, because they help to spot the remaining enemies easier,

but the Centurion line has already good base view range, and with the two crew skills (situation awareness and Recon)

you can max out the view range with out optics, in combination with BIA and vents, and-or food.

So, it's mostly your decision,

if you prefer brawling or long range engagements.

My setup for the IS 7, is Vents-Rammer-V-stab

and my crew has BIA-Situational-Reckon (no food)

and that gives me 442 meters of view range, (445 is the max spotting distance)

In my book it's still OK, for others that might not be enough,

but all in all, you can go, either Vents or Optics, and they both are a viable choice on a medium.

As said, most either go with v-stabs, rammer and optics or if they have good crew + play with food then vents instead of optics as they reach the pretty much required viewrange around 450+m even without it. Sometimes the tank has good enough base vierange that you reach the optimal value even without food.

AX should have the best armour in the game because it was using a primitive version of the Chobham armour, which allows thinner armour without losing actual armour. But this game has basically edited it to be inferior in so many ways to other t10 tanks. Even T9 lights pen it without a problem at distance. Also, a TVP 50/51 once took me down to 180HP from 1 clip... its stupid!

V-stab is the best piece of equipment in the game, anything that can mount it, 99% of the time should mount.

People say maybe not on say the T-100 say because of it's amazing dispersion but 0.05, 0.05, 0.04 dispersion is better than 0.06, 0.06, 0.05. It's that 20% reduction, you don't get anything as useful as that.
