It's legal to use mods except fir those that gives you an advantage, like tundra or autoaim, or even safeshot according to some.

To be sure, I play vanilla, also because most of the usefull features mods added have been implemented in the vanilla client.

Any mod which doesn't effect battle is ok. I use quickybabys to save me time in the garage and for the xvm. I use Circonflexes improved server reticule as the server ret is in vanilla anyway, this mod just makes it smoother and less jumpy, and I have a session statistics mod which again, is garage based. I wont use anything else.

legal/ illegal? I don't know maybe you need to consult a  Solicitor/barrister.

They are just rules... The only laws you can break in this game or on the forums are the national, EU and international laws relating to criminal activity such as child grooming and fraud.

I know not everyone is a native English speaker and its not a big deal but there are no legal or illegal mods.

All mods that does not "give an advantage that is considered bad for the game" [quote from Wg's Fair Play Policy (FPP)] are allowed.

As long as it is something that doesn't give you information you shouldn't know [ f.e. destroyed objects that give away where the enemies are driving ] or an advantage [ f.e. reload timer that shows you when a player is reloading so you can time your attack ] using mods is ok.

I use Aslains mainly for cosmetic and sound mod purposes and also for some funstuff like this with corresponding sounds.

You are allowed to use mods, but not every mod is allowed.

Pretty much this. Mods also vary a lot. Some will be stuff like changing the tank contour icons, or adding/modifying some in-game features (think stuff like the "I'm reloading!" mod that automatically activates when someone is reloading or whatever, that annoying crap), tank skins (from hitskin stuff to actually reskinning a tank to look different, whether that be like making it look historical or decking it out in hideous anime "stuff"), remodels, the list goes on.

If you're looking to install a bunch of mods Aslain's as recommended is definitely up there since I'm pretty sure most of it is fully legal to use (some I think might be questionable but I think Aslain labels those in the installer anyway) and compiles a ton of different mods anyway, which saves time trying to find them all and installing is much quicker.

Yeah..mods are legal...of course not all...personally i use both circon's and qb's modpacks...qb's for garage and circon for the pen numbers and the server marker.

Most mods are legal but the reality is there isn't a obvious approved mod mechanism, approved marketplace or sufficient control or detection of the illegal ones.
I run vanilla purely because the micro updates twizzle my nizzle.

Yet football has The Laws of the Game. Oh and it’s not a big deal but it’s “it’s” not “its”.

The fair play policy says mods are illegal only if they give an advantage and are considered bad for the game, whatever that actually means. As for Safeshot, there’s a post kicking about somewhere where a WG employee states that it is legal.
