Last 2 times crew training has been offer its only been discounts for gold retraining.

Did I miss somewhere it was said wargaming would not discount credit crew retraining?

Is it so difficult in game that saving 10k with the current bonuses is desired?

It's a few credits, hardly breaking the bank.  Sell some of those large consumables they have been throwing around over the holiday period to pay for it.

ehh..  crew retraining discount has always just been for the full 100% option..  the gold option.

But I'm saving those for my next tank upgrade :)

I'm pretty certain it has been for both.

I don't think you missed - I've been waiting for months as well.  I've got loads of tanks with 75% crews waiting for the discount on retraining

Why should you get any at all? WG are already allowing you to play for free so what is it you think they are losing out on by not giving you more free stuff?

Remember over Christmas there were a couple of days when lots of players noticed their gold, credits and free xp totals were disappearing briefly because of some sort of audit? That's probably why there are discounts for gold - they want those of us who got lots of it during the Type 59 hunt to spend it.

Giving free 2 play players free gifts is a very bad business model.

Feel lucky your can participate in marathons for premium tanks since most MMOs I know would reserve those kinds of gifts for paying members only.

Also, most other games would restrict tier access past say tier VI.

Wargaming regularly have specials with half price equipment, supplies, crew resets, retraining for all players whether they are free to play or not.  If you want to save credits it makes sense to wait for the special and then buy your supplies in bulk etc.  This is a pro tip I gleaned from QB, Aging Jedward etc.

There was a time when crew retraining for credits was also a thing. Not been the case for a while though, which is annoying. Having said that, the far more important discounts (equipment, tanks, consumables etc) are still around, so not the end of the world.

The other side of that is without f2p players, we wouldn't have a game for much longer. Crew retraining for credits certainly used to be discounted whenever gold retraining was, it's a relatively recent thing to only discount the gold option and as I said above, I suspect it's linked to the amount of gold that's sitting in people's accounts not being spent.

i think you have no idea what means F2P

allowing to play a game doesnt mean thats a F2P game

f2p means that you can do everything what a paying player can do, on same level, but harder AND be treated SAME like him by company.

and since WG siad thats a F2P game ALL players must get same treatment

in fact anyone pay with something...some with money some with...time. A lot of time.

and thats something very important for a online game. F2P players wich pay with time keep servers populated if you didnt know

really?

So keeping players here and motivating them is a bad business model?

youre a genius...i didnt even knew that...

but on a lot of other online games i think thats the main reason for fail...focusing only on P2W players.

remember why WOT have such a big playerbase and success for so years already? Because its F 2 P .

Throw it away and lets see game evolution after that.

Yes because Runescape is such a failure right?

Much much larger playerbase than WoT has ever seen.

Maybe it did, maybe it didn't, I dont know, but this evening Runescape has an online population of 105K and WoT has 150K on EU alone, according to their site.

Runescape was first released over 15 years ago.

I'd say they're not doing bad, considering you can't access over 90% of the game without paying.

good..so you compare a browser game with wot..

even on wiki says that here are 10 milions active accounts of wich 1 milion are paid accounts...that means 9 milion are f2p players :)

so..wheres the point? For me works same...both are based on f2p players for their success and without this 90% are gone

and to say bad examples too, not only good ones...look at GameForge

they have "f2p" games too...just because you can play for free...but their content just throw away all f2p players and you can see the result
