Just curious about your opinion :)

Personally, I have not managed to two-mark any tier 10 yet. The only tanks I played enough to possibly get some are also some of the first tier 10s I ever got, and I simply was not good enough for that. I have three-marked a tier V, but that took quite a long time, many games, and was pretty much done to prove myself I could do it. So, what do you think?

2 marks kinda comes by it self.

The 3rd mark you need to dedicate your self too. Guess that goes for all tiers. In tierX you need to play FAME style. Sacrifice your team and spam premiumrounds.

In lower tiers you just need to think survival into your play.

I mean 2 marks come by themselves but still better to have 2 marks on a tier 10 then getting 3 on a tier 5

3 marking a tier 5 is pretty easy. 2-marking a TX not so much (IMHO).

2 marking a Tier X. It's pretty simple:

Tier X is more popular among good players than Tier V. You face better opponents and better players are also trying to 3 mark the same tank as you.

Take T-34 and Obj.140 for example. To reach top 5% T-34 players (95%) you'll need to be roughly in the best 100-150 players (extremely rough estimate, can't look at hall of fame ratings right now)

To reach top 5% Obj.140 players you'll have much tougher competition, and you can bet your arse at least 100 players from the 100 best EU clans play Obj.140.

3 marking a Tier V ranges from easy to hard. 3 marking a Matilda BP should be quite easy, while something like a T67 or a Pz.IV H won't be as easy

EDIT: Your T-10 has 2 gunmarks. Congrats on that

I know people who can easily mark tier 5 tanks but can't get 2 marks or even 50% winrate in tier X so I have to say 2 marking a tier X is harder. However... no one is going to think "wow! this guy has 2 marks in his tier 10 tank! he is good!" because you see people like that in every battle. But people at lower tiers are going to think "wow! this guy is good!" when they see a 3 marked tier V. So it really depends on who are you trying to impress lol. It is like comparing being the fastest runner in kindergarten versus running 100 meters in 11 seconds at some sporting event. Being the fastest kid feels more impressive because you are compared to toddlers but not really an achievement where as 11 seconds is hard and a bigger achievement but not really a big deal because everyone has seen faster people. :coin:

Depends on tier V and tier X tbh. Some tier Vs are actually much harder to mark than the others, and the difficulty varies on tier 10 quite a lot as well.

I played over 1k games in E100 and still didn't two mark it. It's hard to do. Meanwhile only one tier lower at tier 9 I have 92% on E75.

I wasnt gonna brag, but thanks for noticing^^ Go them earlier today and didnt even realize it because the game was a loss and I quit early, then saw it later in the garage. I was just planning to collect some XP on the tier 10, and this was quite a pleasant surprise - first two marked tank above tier 8 for me.

Regarding the topic, it seems the opinions are quite split - which I like ,as it leads to interesting discussions. I´d like to contribute but I´m really not sure, I played little tier 10 recently because I´m always grinding something.

Really? Because I do think that. When I see sombody with two marks on a tier 10, my confidence in that person goes up by a lot. I mean there are still people in tier 10 that dont even have the basics down, this player at least seems to know what hes doing and how to use this tank. I see plenty of people around with no gun marks at all, multiple ones do feel special to me. Or maybe I´m just not looking hard enough? Mind you, I dont use XVM, so I dont have that many indicators to judge a player when the match begins.

Tier8 is arguably the most difficult tier given the fact they have less hp and firepower than the many tier9 tanks they face and are definitely up against vs the 3 tier10 tanks they will face in the 3-5-7 system. Tier10 and even 9 will outlast a tier8 with hp and usually outgun a tier8 with dpm, pen and alpha, typically less armor and less view range too etc so I might be wrong but I would say 3 marking a tier8, and in particular, mediums and heavies, is the greatest marking achievement of them all

Especially under the current MM, I mean before it will probably have been a bit more even compared to tier IX and X because seeing some lower tiers was a lot more common than nowadays. However I do think there is quite a big difference in the gunmark difficulty between tanks. For example, the CDC will be quite hard to get a MoE on, given that to play it well you need to be a good player. However, a Skorp G, that everyone seems to have will have a larger player base (with a lot of terrible I mean statisticly underwhelming players there aswell) so more players will be part of that top 5%, aswell as requirements being slightly lower (relatively speaking, the fact that it has 490 alpha does mean you need more dmg) But indeed I have found that some MoE come more easily, for example I got the Comet one for free basicly (Didn't even have the top gun I believe) while the Cromwell was a pain in the a$$ to get.

I have to agree with this (to some extent). Sitting at 92.52% on WZ-120-1G FT with around 2900 combined, that's just ridiculous, i 3-marked a Conqueror with 3000 combined last winter for gods sake.

However, some tier 10's have extraordinary requirements, like the totally not OP Obj.907 (5k combined), SConq (4.6k combined), the new french TX heavy (5k combined) and some other monstrosities.

2 marking Tier 9 for sure. I don't find much challenge 3 marking tier 5 anymore and I know some of them are so easy even orange players manage to do (crusader, M7..), so not much value given to them. 2 marking tier 9 takes more skill as you can't just farm bots with superior crews.

Not really, it doesnt matter how  harsh the MM is, since everyone gets that MM the values will adjust. The T8 values now are lower than they used to be, it stays as hard.  T8s are still a lot easier than T10s.

I'd say having a great winrate in both is the bigger achievement.

Marking wise I guess it really comes down to what tanks. I can imagine the t67 is a lot harder to 3 mark than it would be to two mark something like a 30b. I played the T-10 like a raging potato, but I still got two marks in it without trying, even though my average damage in it is pathetic and my winrate is pretty crap as well. At the same time I do better in the AMX 30 in every aspect and I only got one mark in that. It's not just about how well you do in a tank, also how good (or bad) others do in it.

Depends on the tier 5, the ELC AMX is easy whereas the Panzer V/IV is one of the hardest out there.

Generally though I'd say 2 marking *SOME* tier 10 tanks is a greater achievement, tanks that have low player count like the STB-1 etc. which are generally only played by good players. 2 marking something like the Obj140 or IS-7 is not that impressive anymore as a lot of bots drag the averages down hard.

I wouldn't say ELC is easy, you still need around 1200 combined. Other tier 5 lights are much easier because no good players play them.

My tier 8 prem marks have bombed since the change but I can't say that I'm doing that much worse (I'm actually trying a bit harder). I just find it odd.

Recently rebough the T-44 and went from 61% to 80 in the first battle. So values have dropped like a rock at least on that one. Can only assume its true for all T8 since they got wrecked in the new MM.
