I've been noticing this mroe and more recently. Was engaging a tank zoomed in, tracked it, he shots me, A fuckload of smoke, I get disoriented, I try peekaboo shot trough smoke but end up shooting wall. I was in a autoloader.

Should I just completely turn that crapoff?

To each his own. Some use tetris graphics presets if they are easily distracted. Even some camos cause distraction among players

I've always disabled effects like that, especially smoke.

I have effects in sniper mode off. As you don't get distracted, or have your target blocked by arty splash or track effects etc. So if your target gets hit by friendly arty, you can still focus and see the spot you are aiming for. And not a wall of smoke suddenly.

This ^^ , and I also don't let the cat in the room anymore because the little barsteward sits in front of the monitor.

If it annoys you too much, turn it off. Simples.

Did you really need to ask that?

Agree, mine sits on the keyboard. When I think about it the cat makes better decisions than me as where I should be going:)

My West Highland/Spaniel cross sits up on the sofa behind me and makes a great furry pillow for those late night sessions.

And yes, I game from the comfort of a big leather couch:)
