Hi,

i just played with my Centurion AX which has the christmas camo together with my friend, but apparently my friend couldn't see my camo. Is this normal?

Greets,

Bart

Friend is not allowing non-historical camo to be displayed.  It is a check box in settings under "general" if I remember correctly.  Yes, other people can see the camo

Yeah you have to activate showing non historical camo in the settings to see. Only one ally have commented my Chinese christmas camo and he told me it is ugly. :(

It was activated by default, at least for me when the patch got introduced

I probably turned it off so fast that my mind didn't have time to record the action made.

Surprisingly sensible, though the assortment of "historically accurate" paint colours and transparent camo patterns means that I can still paint my tanks like a discount road pizza. Because why not, I guess?

It is off by default for all. Thus unhistorical paint etc should be 50% cheaper vs the rest. As 90% of the players can't even see it. And I have it on. And you would be surprised to see how few tanks with paint I've seen. Or even the Xmas camos.

He didn't disable it, it was turned off by default (thank christ). I do agree with Balc though that unhistorical stuff should cost less though considering most people won't see it, though I can see some people crying about people buying camo for less because people will complain about the stupidest of things.

Historically accurate paint.

Before the inevitable, yes, I know why this IS-2 is pink. You can't argue that it's not historical though. (Source)

at least not historical for use in battle.

regarding x-mas camo, I think it would even be better if I didn't see it myself on my own tanks. feels like driving a fire engine.

Probably don't want to pull that thread any further given the number of tanks in game that only existed on paper or in the imagination of the dev team.

If only it wasn't compulsory to apply each camo to at least one tank.

I think my next troll ticket to WG will be something like:

"Dear WG, I disabled the non-historical elements from game but still can see for example imaginary Japanese anime heavies? Why is this?"
