Wanted to share with you my love for t49 and showcase why i think its the funniest tank ingame to play. Mobility and insane alpha for its class make this a devastating toy when provided with space to work with. Please do share your games with this lovely tank.

No thats terrible playing. Obviously you don't know light tanks are only supposed to spot for the team and not act like medium tanks.

T49 with the DERP gun is the best stress relief vehicle in the game with the exception of the KV-2.

I love playing mine but try to engage heavy armour with it, in other words the tanks your team will have most difficulty with engaging. You can do a relatively consistent 200-300dmg to them each shot with HE.

This is the problem with the current game meta. There is no incentive or necessity for lights to spot and scout.

I dont understand you, i find LT missions easiest from all the campaign ones by far. And ive finished every one of them with little to no effort including 6-8k spotting. Its just that t49 allows you to wreck havoc on the battlefield using HE molesting heavies as cobra pointed out and if you got good positioning, some space, you can land monstrous shots to asses of almost every tank ingame (provided you use HEAT ofc, but most of the tanks will suffer even from HE shot to the side or bumm). Thats what separates him, the long reload (clip time like) forces you to scout, relocate, conserve hp, play smart and do your job WHILE wrecking enemies.

Ofc thats just my point of view.. mby @TankkiPoju is right... <3 who knows.

If you don't use the derp you might as well play the RU251

Dl the replay and enjoy the rofls of derp adventures. There are some shots in jagdtigerz rear in the end where i strongly believe he was whimpering a bit from all the dry penetrations in the rear (courtesy of 152mm/152mm pen shells).

I would have to disagree with you on this one. Using t49 with smaller gun just makes it OP beyond belief but i probably shouldnt talk to much or someone is gonna read it and nerf it. Gun is epic but i do like derp gun for the laughs and joy of playing (kinda rare thing in wot when you look at the overall community where everyone is either grinding some crapline through some craptanks or playing with so much focus and commitment in order to not lose precious wr/wn8).

Main gripe at the moment is that crew got better and it's time to swap out the optics.

wondering if i should mount GLD or Vents in third slot. Might want to replace extinguisher with Cola while i'm at it and get the firefighting directive

There has never been a viable meta in this game, where light tanks only spot and scout. Not even in 2011-2012. The goal of the game is to either kill enemy team or cap to win. Just spotting enemies will not directly do either of those.

Because let's fact the facts here: Even if you spot enemies, most team mates are incapable of actually shooting the enemies. Partially because maps, and partieally because they are just terrible at shooting.

I like the long range TD pens the most. There's tons of skorpions and strv td's to feast on at the moment. Always cracks me up blindfiring into a bush and hearing "got em!"

:)  I remember  Floh11 using his causing all kinds of trouble, bob and weave between 2 Tier X tds after they fired. He just always seem to get away with going between multiple targets and get right on their back side.  Most memorable though was a -972 shot on an Emil II .  It is demoralizing taking such a big hit even more so by the fact that you cannot trade as your target nips off.

We do have a subsection for American light tanks.

And if this is just for fishing for compliments, no, forget it.

I actually didnt know that, just wanted to share a derp replay with the folks in the gameplay forum, i dont venture in the other sections of the forum at all.

Wouldn't worry about it, there's also a whole section dedicated to arty, yet also a pinned arty topic in gameplay.  I think most of us mainly stick to the gameplay section.

I too have shared your love for the derp 49 :)

Is it sill stress relief, when you miss the third fully-aimed shot at an immobile tank that covers 80% of the reticle? ;)

Its just how it is, it would be pretty OP if every shot fired with derp would hit the aimed target. Its like a big stakes poker table all in hand. You either win and share positive vibes or you dont. I had been shot in my rev4 by some random t49 for 1k and set on fire, since i dont use fire extinguisher (gasoline is my choice) i burned up to death. I was laughing cause i knew he was happy and i was happy for him... t49 is love.
