To face the fact, WG has produced some pretty terrible tanks lately: Amx cda 105, t92 and the mother of bad tanks: the nutcracker (mauerbrecher). I love playing new tanks, and having researched pretty much all of the desired "normal" tanks, the only way to do this is to buy premiums. The above tanks are some of the purchases I've actually regretted.

I wonder if this is a starting trend, selling terrible, undesirable tanks -but even more who test the tanks before they go out? A bunch of unicums?

Unluckily for us, most of the tester should be scrubs, looking at how Type5, Maus, Defender and all the other OP stuff did survive the supertest...

Come on WG just cannot win. They produce Defender, Chrysler and Patriot and the forum is full of whine that they are OP. So in response to player demand they produce Guard, Mausebreaker, and T-92 which are balanced and get more whine. I would rather have premiums that are worse than tech tree tanks, than ones which are better.

how about premiums that are on a par with the tech tree, they don’t need to be op but at least viable so they can be enjoyed - they cost real cash and fund the game after all

The great thing about premium tanks is you don't have to buy them if they are bad, no one is forcing you to grind them. The only warranted point towards bad premiums are those that have been powercrept (RIP my IS6)

If you play Defender for 5 games, you will 100% tell what is wrong with the tank. It is way too mobile for the armor it has, and has too good DPM. The DPM should be on same level as Löwe or T34 and mobility same also. WG just wanted to add another rasha tank thats too strong.

Chrysler has no frontal turret weakspots, and Patriot hasn't really either. Both should have them. Tanks like T32 hasnt turret weakspots either, but its's slow and has terrible DPM and mediocre gun handling.

T92 should have better DPM or 175 alpha and cheaper ammo.

Haven't played Cda 105.

Simple as that.

these tanks are actually more balanced compared to the chrysler, patriot or defender. they just don't fit the current state of the game

this happens to most tanks at some point , if the policy was release balanced tanks and keep them balanced then premiums could fairly be used for their their supposed design - earning credits and crew training

lol they are not terrible.. they are balanced.. Problem is current mm and few prems that are a bit too good or brokenly good thats why tanks Mauer or t92 looks so bad.

and again... Chrysler is far from being OP... MM changes more or less killed it. Last month i played more or less t8 had hundreds games in that tier and saw very few of those tanks..

Everyone of these premium tanks have a weakness to balance them. But the problem is with Defender and Patriot is, their balancing weakness factor doesn't really matter.

For example Defender has only 150mm think cupolas.. but hardly anyone shoots them, and they are hard to hit.

Patriot has measly 240 alpha, but it has DPM to make up for it.

It's the same with Skorpion. It's balanced by huge size and terrible camo... but these weaknesses dont often also matter at all when you compare to the strenghts: Great alpha and mobility.

WG should change their policy and nerf op premium tanks.

I think it getting a bit harder to judge if a tank is Underpowered, because we do not have a real baseline tanks for each tier and class.

I mean what it the perfect tier 10 tank in terms of balance?

Its easy to say this tank is the best or worst, but what tank should all others be balanced after?

this wont happen, it would affect income. Just imagine you buy a tank for real money you play it and enjoy it and suddenly one day they just nerf it... would you be happy customer would you still play that tank? would you buy another tanks for 40eur with possibility that those tanks might be nerfed? its all about wg greed department.. They dont think with head often just with wallet.. Much better is to release a bit UP tank and buff it if it is needed but again why to buy tank that is bad with a hope that it would be buffed after like year or too..  As always wg wants patient from us (we are working, we gonna fix and so on) but have no patient when we talk about income..

Then they should just make every normal tier 8 on Defender/Skorpion level. Or just stop selling op premiums ever again.
