How to be a massive noob and power grind the Discontinued way.

Recently I have been researching how to power grind ethically rather than other guides which seem to extol the virtues of rushing out firing a couple of shells and dying. This seems like a rather duchy thing to do in my opinion.Your not helping you team.

This is intended for those players who are quite familiar with the game 1k + battles or for those naturally gifted players who need to power grind to get components for high tier tanks, or for skipping horrible tanks altogether. Or noobs who wish to spend a lot of cash and want to get their 1st tier 10 fast.

Ok my recipe goes something like this.

  1. Firstly you will need to spend some money
  2. A Premium account is going to essential; also running 100% exp boosts at the same time is a must.
  3. You will need a T127 tier 3 soviet tank. its very seal clubby indeed  and totally op for its tier. I recommend a 3 skill crew with BIA . Enhanced gun laying drive vents and optics. Also load this sucker with as much silver as you can as you will see tier 4 quite often these days. Look upon tier 4 as hp pools to be drained do not fear them. OWN THEM.
  4. My recommendation is around 30-40 silver shells. Note you will not always make a profit if you splurge all your shells but free exp is gonna roll in FAST
  5. This tank is easily capable of taking down half the enemy team. I think my record is 12 kills in this mini beast.
  6. I’ve lost count of the number of mastery badges I got in this thing. Its a shame there’s no way to check?
  7. Quite simply play this thing confidently and aggressively remember this has awesome frontal armour and will bounce most tier 3 enemy shells with the exception of TD’sarty and few other tanks. I love facing PZ1c’s and just ignoring them as clip after clip just bounce off my bounconium armour. Be careful the T127 will teach you bad habits.Try not to stay still or camp play it like you are indestructible, as most of the time you will be.
  8. The trick is to play it like a maniac over and over and over again most matches last around 3 to 5 mins and in this time its pretty easy to rack up a minimum of 1k (which is a crappy game)per battle but most often you can quite easily rack up 2 to 3k per game. Yeah you will get some stinkers of a game but generally it’s a guaranteed victory if you get less than two kills or 500 dmg you’re not doing it right, getting 1k damage will give you around 3-7k free exp. On a x2 or X5 victory my record is around 8k for one game!
  9. Do not jump into another tank when dying wait out the game and play it again and again.
  10. Using this technique I can easily make 20-30k free exp in an hour my record is 89k free exp in one day but that was something I do not wish to repeat. I felt hollow afterward

Are you sure?  That's like 400k-600k XP per hour (free XP is 5% of normal XP) With an average game length of 7.5 minutes (8 battles per hour) so you are getting between 50,000 and 75,000 XP per game?

OP forgot 'uncheck the accelerated crew training box' and 'play T-127 one hour and shovel snow for an hour to earn money for XP conversion gold' in his guide. :P

I think he means convertible exp. Otherwise it would be far too much. If I play my tier 8 premiums with the same boosters I earn just as much and make more credits

OP hates him - C4BAL's weird trick to both earn convertible experience and credits using a premium T8 tank!

Spoiler

You forgot the most important part OP:

11. Use your credit card to acquire gold and convert your xp to free xp

But you know what? You can do what you do in literally any tank in this game.....

So much for free xp - it'll cost you a fortune to convert  I have probably few millions of convertible xp by accident and I'll never have use for it all as it's just not worth it.

With all due respect having a crappy game in a tier 8 will take a lot longer than with a tier 3 one bad game is over in minuites. Also I'm not such a good player and facing a tier 10 with a tier 8 aint gonna be a fast game....Well maybe these days .But using a T127 im pretty much guaranteed to make a lot of CONERVTABLE free exp in a short space of time.

Also i never said it would be cheap but at £17 to convert 100k i'm willing to pay that, now and then especcialy to get past a tier 9 stock grind.

Has yolorushing ever been an effective way to grind? Especially if you are grinding one tank cos you'll just have to wait for it to come back.

Just get a prem account, load up on the boosters, play in platoon if you can (platoon bonus), add a clan XP booster if you can, and play well.  You can probably stack on a free XP booster as well and that'll give you a little more XP on top.

Grinding is way easier than it used to be before boosters existed.

Why not just buy the gold and convert that? Instead of all this faff which costs you money anyway?

Expect some flak when your title is rather misleading.

While you're likely to earn more convertible experience when playing T3, it seems ineffective to ignore the credit grinding. Purchase and running costs of high-tier tanks means you're in for a lot of higher-tier premium play anyway. Without credit boosters (which are kind of rare, after all), I wouldn't expect an average above 50-60k profit per game with the current state of T8.

If you're grinding credits for a T9 tank, that's 70-80 battles, plus extra for equipment and whatnot. If you use 1k average experience per game, that should be enough for both credits and convertible experience to make (most) T9 tanks playable, for instance.

Hmmm.

Seal clubbing = ethical?

encouraging noobs to rush to T9 = ethical?

Spamming premium ammo at low tiers = ethical?

Buying the way to the high tiers = ethical?

Your system probably works, it probably inflates stats as well, but is it really describable as ethical?

Ah well! Each to their own I suppose.

Btw, where are these noobs going to find 3 skill crews with BIA?

I suspect he is referring to the premium tank bonus income. That's 70% more xp on a tier III, and 80% on a tier II premium. Or 10% extra on a tier 8. Based on base or premium XP, not after personal reserves etc. You still have to convert this with gold later. But if you need lots in a jiffy. Playing tier 2/3 premiums with accelerated crew xp off on a daily run is not the worst idea. As I have done many times.

They had a 50% permanent bonus to everyone during closed beta to get people up faster to test more stuff. People liked it, and it stuck since so many already were PC users. So no one wanted to spend more time grinding the same line again. So there a half backed game is 1000 xp of you do nothing. And why you need 1600 or more to ace most tanks, not 1100 like here. They added that on income to on tier 1 to 8, not for tier 9 and X for obvious reasons. Tho not 50% iirc, think it was 25%. So getting 100K with premium time  there on the tier 5 T14 is not uncommon on a good game with 2K + damage. As that's the beta reward tank we got. Tho 200K on the Motherland that is the only high tier premium I have, is not uncommon either with 3K +. Thus their economy is different to.

Maybe its not totally "ethical" but its better than suicide rushing, which as I mentioned in my post seems to be the only other way I've seen it described. At least I'm making an effort to help my team.

BTW the T127 trains crews like crazy my buddy managed to get his crew from 75% to 100% in a matter of hours with crew exp turned on.

My method is designed to make as much use of that 1 hour 100% exp boost.

I have a decent job & income, I love tanks and I can afford to convert it so why not.I do not do this all the time only when I need to research modules, as I hate playing stock...which also helps my team....doesn't it?

Also there is no snow here to shovel, just a grotty office :teethhappy:

My post is meant to be helpful and it took some time to compose (10 minutes). Maybe a little bit more kindness guys, thanks for all the constructive comments from those who actually read and understood it :)
