I thought it was a nice comment., actually. I wouldn't denigrate it as you seem to have - but then again I would not mention that ridiculous decorider thing, either.

Ooops.

Was a nice event indeed. Wasn't anywhere near finishing it, but it was a good motivation to play a few matches. And I really liked the background music on the collection screen. Fell peacefully asleep watching it while being drunk.

The best I've witnessed so far has got to be the T-35 85M "Marathon" in which we all got lots of free stuff and eventually a free, one of the best premium tier 6 medium tanks. Day1 click battle. Day 2, lose a battle. Day 3, drool on the keyboard. Day 4, mash the keyboard with your palm or face... congratulations you now have a T-34 85M

Agreed - shame we had so many people whining that they couldn't get all the bells and whistles but I felt it was a great opportunity to get "good stuff". One minor gripe - the garage was pretty much identical to last years garage, but that's OK - our Xmas decorations in the house come out each year just the same!

I liked the free xp and creds tbh. I had a chance to try 122/54 before they remove it and grind my beloved t30. Tank that made me vow to never touch turretless tds ever again. Good event, best one since ive been ingame (along with broken t34-85m reward tbh, that tank is hilarious).

You're so right. The OP must be on WG's payroll.

We can't have positive threads on the forum, can we? That wouldn't do at all.

As it happens, I too enjoyed the event. Got a lot of free stuff, even if I only managed to complete one decor collection. Pity I didnt get any of the good tanks from the boxes I bought, but hey ho, I never won big on the National Lottery either.

Top Tip: Sprouts sprayed with metallic paint make good baubles for a Xmas tree.

Yup, have to agree with the OP, crimbo missions were awesome this year.

I especially liked the credit multiplier.  48% extra credits for prem tanks during the holidays when I had time to actually play them allowed me to purchase 4 tier X's along with a few tier 8's from lines I'd been meaning to finish for a while.  Not only could I afford these tanks, but all the equipiment to go with them & I even bought back the m53/55 just in case there are ever any arty missions I need to complete in the future.  My garage now makes me a lot happier than before.

Did I mention I also got a type 59?  Is not as bad as I thought it'd be from all the anti-hype it's had of late, but certainly not my go to prem tank.

So yes, well played WG & thank you.

He's more relevant than most of us on the forum.  There's barely a single recent thread about mods where he hasn't been mentioned or alluded to at least once.

Overall, the xmas event was great for me, nice 48% bonuses meant I could spam prem rounds like, well, a dinger :)

Sure it had some features that could be improved but overall a very nice special. Four girls + great discounts on any T2-10 tanks that dont expire and the 48% bonus were some highlights. +1 to OP too.

Dear conbat,

Congrats on your positive praise for the Christmas event.

Even a noob like me was able to make dosh, achieve a couple of mid order tanks, and 2x girlies;)

Credit where it is due, nobody should have been disappointed by the event.

With regards SukV above, ignore him!

Regards

Tommy.

There is always one [edited]head, and if you want the lowdown VSuk is one of the forums chief in-game cheaters, caught red handed, so you can judge his character. Yours was a nice post, when I clicked on it it thought it could be a sarcastic attack on WG, so a pleasant surprise.

That is naming and shaming in blatant form, which is supposedly to be an offence.
