PROS for the garbage t7 ht from UK

-decent turret armor from the front.

-somewhat good acceleration

CONS for the garbage t7 ht from UK

-t6 gun on a t7 with RETARDED dpm (the smallest gun in t7 on a HT and has shitty dpm)

-like i said decent engine, but [edited]RETARDED TOP SPEED aka is bloody useless

-pen is garbage for a tank that needs to stay in place to do some reasonable damage

-aiming time is rly bonkers for a tank that huge with a gun that small (t29 with 105mm has 2.2)

And the last thing is WHY they didnt even bother to give it some much needed buffs.

So you can free XP past it and get the 3K DPM tier 8 HT.

Others have grinded through it just fine, but special snowflakes will always demand special treatment.

Review by the Mighty Jingles, who despite having an annoying voice and an extremely irritating fake laugh, is spot on with his reviews. He does look at the strengths of the Black Prince (there are some, apparently), but his criticism outweighs the pros:

"The guns on the Black Prince p*** me off... it's the Comet's gun!"

"You have to use the stock gun. It is absolutely terrible. It's a medium tank gun... WG, make your mind up." IIRC, he compares it to a T5 Medium: "Can you imagine the outrage if you had to use a large calibre gun rammer on an M4?"

"...right up to the Conquerer, the tier 9, until you get a heavy tank gun." (stating that the guns are under-par for heavy tank guns)

The premium ammo costs 3,200 credits per shot and provides marginally more pen than the tier 7 Tiger's standard 88mm ammo, which costs 252 credits per shot. That 3200 credits you spent gets you 150 damage per shot. There are tier 3 tanks which do that kind of damage. And the BP is tier 7.

I read somewhere that there was a plan to install Rolls Royce Merlin engines with 600hp into Churchills, which never went ahead, as Britain cottoned onto the Universal Tank concept which replaced both the Cruiser and Infantry tank ideas. (They really hung onto those ideas for a long time!) Given that many of the most powerful and annoying tanks in the games (ahem, O-I line) are basically fiction, it's about time that someone breathed life into the British HT range and gave them this engine choice, preferably with a speed limit increase. After all, the Russian and American lines are spoiled for good engine choices which have no drawbacks (ie no stupid weight penalties for tiny horsepower gains).

Today's game is about alpha and speed. Tanks which possess neither of these characteristics are obsolete and need to be updated.

WG is extremely bias when it comes to British tanks, & not in a good way. The armour is far better in reality compared to other tanks than how this game portrays it. Im reality, the Action x or it's proper name Centurion Mk3 was a far superior tank than the IS-4. But in game, 1 on 1 you will always lose.

This game was balanced until they introduced Soviet tanks & everything was pushed towards those.

Play it, sell it. forget it. Its the price of playing the Brits, you just have to endure. Having a mental disability that allows you to play continually actually aids you in the grind.

Problem is the Brits didn't have many heavy tanks in WW2. So what you get is that line of Churchill's.

You should enjoy the newly buffed Caravan. Hull down and fire twice.

Its a reasonable tier 7 heavy tank its main problem being a semi historical tank in a not very historical game.

With todays 3 5 7 mm its probably awful those number give way to many games where you are bottom tier its a broken idea.

Anyway when I did play it sometime last year is was not that bad In a good matchup that armour holds up well, or it did do.

Either free xp past it or just do the daily double till you unlock the tier 8.

Cromwell / Cromwell B

Conqueror

Super Conqueror

Caernarvon

Excelsior

These are all among if not the best tanks on their tiers.

Are you talking about the Black Prince or the FV201 (A45)? You need to be more specific about garbage T7 HT's from the UK :P

That isn't really due to the Centurion being weaker than reality, it's due to the IS-4 being very overpowered compared to reality, but WG kind of boxed themselves into a corner there by making it Tier-X as it's historical gun stats would have been absolutely useless at tier-X (hell most IS-6 drivers will attest it's not much better at tier 8).  In real terms the IS-4 was only a tier 7.5 tank, as it was basically designed as a more armoured IS-2, something that could be made alongside the IS-3 but cheaper/weaker (until it because obvious it was ****).  Similar to how they later produced the T-72 as a cheaper/weaker alternative to the T-64.

There's almost nothing worth having in the British line below T9.

Cromwell B is great but you can buy that outright, Bishop/FV304 are interesting. And that's it.

It's not worth grinding through 8 tiers just to find something good, it's almost as shite as the Swedish line.

Compare that to the Russian/German/American lines where almost everything at any tier is OK
