be warned - here is another MM rant but not without a proposal for discussion

I've just had a tier X match on Serene Coast, where 12 clueless players were camping in ONE SQUARE since the beginning of the match! I'm not exaggerating! of course, 10 of those were <6k games. I know I'm not the only one that thinks this issue MUST be resolved especially if WG wants to keep the old players.

now is the best time to solve this problem because 1.0 release is about to bring a lot of new players, and those players will be buying prem 8 tanks, which WILL get into tier X games

friend had an idea, and I liked it a lot: how about introducing some kind of mode or even tier XI which would be reserved only for players that qualify either by score in tier X matches or by their overall personal rating. why tier XI? because it would exclude new players to join those matches only by purchasing T8 tanks

what do you guys think, seriously?

There are extremely cretin tomatoes with very high amount of battles. So making a batlle count restriction couldnt solve anything. I'd welcome a special game mode with WG rating restriction though, but only as an optional possibility. Maybe the same as randoms, but only players over 5000WG rating only, or smtg like this. (And less predestined, sudden death battles could be awesome too.)

This old player does not care for your tryhard mode.

Play ranked battles when they arrive, or CW, or skirmishes or whatever other team based rubbish they have implemented.  There's plenty of "skill" modes already.

If you play randoms then accept that you will get random teams, sometimes they are bad.  It's not like you are any hotshot yourself though.

While I agree it drive some (not sure how many) older players out, WG will never give a rats arse about tomatoes or those that can buy straight into the game at tier 8 and ruin battles with no experience. Had a battle a few hours ago with 6 premium tier 8 tanks and guess, most had 0 damage and they to all huddled together in the corner of the map. The battle whent bad from the start and was over very quickly which was a blessing to be honest.

Team battles or whatever it is they are called.

There's enough pandering to people who see WoT as their career already.

I've personally never been interested in WoT as a career, just a game for fun. the problem is that "fun" is being excluded from the equation more often then not

You should make a thread and tell us about it. This is a story that needs to be told.

Lets see, 5000 wotrating and up get separated from the rest...

This would cause their rating to go down over time cause some people need to be the tomatos in a rating system.

The ones rated lowest when entering this will drop below the rating and so on.

How would you solve this in a not to difficult way....you know.....WG.....before you know it, it will just be like balancing and all other things that got fixed.

it could be easily solved by separate ranking from I-X randoms. I'm talking about the concept in general, details could be easily tweaked

Never expected anything from my teams (apart from saying sorry when they shoot me and apart the "next lose team" guys) : they meet my expectation very often.

As long as you get fun from this game and play your best it will go well, say some insults if it suits you and it's alrigth.

It's been no different since the game started, I would have thought you would have noticed before getting to 19000 battles and found something you enjoy instead.

Looks to me that you don't really find it so bad.

Really couldn't give two primates about MM as long as I can shoot tanks then I am happy.

I guess that's why I find it a fun game....

I invested both money and time and I feel like I have a right to want a better game from WG, instead of them thinking of new ways to make it more easy for new players to feel the high tiers for money. I did have a good time and exciting well balanced tough games (that way even loss is fun), and I want them more, thats why I'm still here. but nowadays the games are either 3:15 or 15:3
