I've been playing a few tanks lately of which I thought they were really good, but then looking at the common stats and graphs they turn out to be mediocre/just good, or at least the majority of players thinks so/plays them so.

Hence I was wondering: which tanks do you think are really good and among your best played tanks, but they're not OP?

My favorite two atm are the T-10 and the Jagdtiger.

T-10 simply because it's a great allrounder with an above average gun, but especially for a heavy it has mediocre armor and it can be a bit sluggish. Hence a few simple misplays can make your game shockingly bad and the tank is easy to take out if a player doesn't capitalize on its strenghts.

Jagdtiger because it's actually below average at most things, but not bad either. It's slow, but not painfully slow, and when thinking ahead, you can turn the tank in time for most situations. It has a weak hull, but a strong casemate and a big slab of HP. Its gun doesn't quite have that 750 dmg punch, but with a 9.8 second reload on 560 alpha the damage will rack up very quickly.

So what other tanks are there to add? Tanks which have quite bad reputation, but it's worth it to dive into what you can do to make the tank useful, so it actually becomes decent/good?

I have several,

KV-5

FV215B

M6A2E1

121B

While none of these tanks are outright bad, none are even close to being OP. yet all of them i seem to do fantastic in. Amount of defenders ive rofl stomped in KV-5 is insane :D

agree on this one. played in 2 waves... loved it both times... used the real man gun, 300/330 alpha...

great tank IMO. never understood why people complain...

T10 is such a nice tank. tier9 is generally great...

I enjoy 263 last two days. Geting 3-mark shouldnt be hard. had 5-6 0 dmg games when i have great idea how to take agressive positions and then i suck a d.
but 3.5-4k is regular thing in this one. and i earn a lot, i use almost no APCR... had 10 loaded for some fishy situations, but AP is really good ..
Really love 263 atm.

VK 30.01 (P)

I wasn't going to bother with this line for a while but decided after seeing one too many of them that I needed a VK 100.01. For a tier 6 medium, it's fantastic - mobile, has decent amounts of armour and the short 88mm, which was buffed a little while ago for all tanks that use it. It's like a Skoda T 40 without the paper armour. Doesn't have much, if any, camo but that's fine because I like to play it aggressively, especially when top tier and it becomes a heavium.

I played it on an alt account awhile back, fantastic tank. Considering picking one up on this account as well. managed 2k+ DPG with it. although i was rather lucky with mm

I have been enjoying the American T-series heavies. Even T32 has been enjoyable with liberal APCR usage.

Chi-Nu Kai: Played 581 games in it. Had a crew with less then 100% on the first skill in at least 500 of them. Fantastic support med even in +2 with that gun. Nothing to complain about. Still play it now and then even tho I don't need more crews to train. Same with the Chi-Ri. Burst fire alone with the short reload and big HP pool can make for some interesting games rather often.

Besides those two. The Nashorn, Swedish Leo, Chaffee, M6 and the CDA 105 are the tanks I've played between the 430 II and T-10 grinds of late. And had some fun in all of them.

Not played it since I did grind it back in 2012. But been meaning to buy it back and test it again. As everyone says it's a fantastic fun tank now after the recent changes and buffs to it. Did not even ace it back in the day.

T-10 is just awesome, I can actually snap shot in that thing, use it as a sniper and also brawl. Good at any sitation. IS-7 felt like an downgrade. Armour is useless at tier X.

Comet - Great support medium with troll armor and -12º of gun dep (tasty ;p)

BC 12t - Little autoloader. Not playing it as intensily as before, but will keep playing it at least until I reach the BC 25t AP as I already have the 13 90 and I'm not that interested in the AMX 30's. Also, the fact of having to grind 600k exp to unlock all of them in the same tank can be quite exhausting, which is probably the reason of playing it not that much this days. Will probably be my first 3-marked tank if I manage to get above 90% in the 180k exp I still have to grind.

Leo (tier 7 swedish medium) - Another good supporting medium. Playing it with the 10,5cm gun and it can either work and you end up with 2/3k dmg or you end up snipping weakspots at 500m and the game is over with barely 1k dmg.

T20 - Another good supporting medium/light tank. Despite having bad mobility in comparison with light tanks, it can do some interesting stuff. Hated the DPM but everything else was ok.

Some of the tanks I played/have been playing and ended up having some funny moments with.

I've really liked the T92 LT although I have never been much of a light tank fan before.

There are many tanks that I've loved over the years that's regarded as bad, T-43, Chi-Ri, Tiger P to name a few, but recently I found a monster, the Jg.Pz. IV, it have a crap reputation which is understandable due to how it was balanced in the past, but now a days it's just sick. With the highest DPM of any tier 6 tank and workable premium pen for those bad MM matches it's truly a joy to play, 3 marked mine recently with 65% winrate over 209 matches.

Beat me to it, loving this tank atm wondering why i didnt play it sooner 220 alpha with a decent reload and pretty good mobility. 3 marked the comet a while back and loved it but find its not the best with the low pen in +2 with the mm changes atm.

Tho it was ages ago (so before thef f*cked up matchmaker, and before tanks had nuclear bunker grade armor and photon cannons as guns), I absolutely cherished the T32. It just felt perfectly balanced, and that's something I quite enjoy.

Nowadays I got genuinely surprised by the Ikv 65 II (tier 6 Swedish TD), it's just a treat to play (managed to get a Tank Ace medal with it even while it was stock), so currently it's my favorite tier 6 by far, and also one of my favorite tanks overall, while (according to vbaddict) it has 49% winrate, so it's defto far from being OP. My previous favorite tier 6 was the Nashorn, which people kept bashing left and right, but it just "worked" for me like a charm, Ace medal, 52,6% WR, 1060 average damage (so on average I dealt nearly 1,8 times my HP), etc.

Another tank I'd mention is the STA-1. Tho it has abysmal winrate (47% on vbaddict), which I even manage to fall short of (45,7%), I like the vehicle overall

Yeah I know "favorite" implies only 1, but I felt like it would be "unfair" not to mention any of the 4, lel.

My favourite:

Possibly the Sherman Firefly, also 100% 3 marked.

I also really enjoy playing the AMX 30 prot, T-54, M48A5 Patton and the Obj. 260 although they are all seen more often
