"Gold" Ammo, something needs to be done

I know this has been up for discussion many times and this will not be the last.

But somehting has to be done to the gold ammo and the spamming of gold ammo. WG says that the rate of gold ammo is about 5%. And that might be true over the whole playing field. But if you look from tier 8 and up there is a lot more, I would say it's about 50% or more. If I count the hits I get at least 50% of the are premium ammo.

 

I still think we need the ammo, but the spamming needs to be controlled.

 

One sugestion I read was that you would loose accuracy with the gun if you kept spamming gold. And that might be a good idea, and if you keep it up the gun will break.

Another idea could be that the ammorack would have an increase in getting damage if you carry a lot of gold ammo in the tank. Let's say that your tank can hold 100 rounds and if you carry 20 premium shells your ammorack would have 20% higher risk to get damage. So if you have 33 rounds in a tank and carry 11 premium it would increase with 30%.

 

Any other ideas?

Ban everyone who does not use gold ammo then there will be no one to complain and WG won't lose any money,

Ban every one who knowingly brings up a subject in the forums that is brought up just about every single day and has already been responded to by the dev team.

1, repair kits can be used repeatedly, might have worked if it was one use like before, but its still a bad idea

it would be a punishment. why should you deserve a punishment for trying to take down a troublesome tank 2 tiers below it because your top tier who should be countering it isn't? attempting to play and win isn't a sin or deserves a beating for


 

2. so I could hold 1 less than the set amount and it would play as normal? that's fine for big ammo storage tanks, just messes up ones with low, like the St Emil.... not a good idea either


 

honestly, best fix for gold ammo is to LEAVE IT AS IS, and GIVE TANKS WEAKSPOTS THEY DONT NEED GOLD FOR.... that, is the only fix that wont result in ******* up some tanks and leaving others

do please note that no changes to gold ammo would ever affect premium tanks... do remember that when thinking up "fixes"

I know everyone on these forums is annoyed by these threads and loves to troll... but I feel like it made people mindlessly agree with what's wrong with the game.

These threads have been repeated for so long, everyone got used to gold ammo being spammed and now WG are just having their way with they customers. Unwilingly.

Triple the silver cost of premium ammo. It will resolve all issues with it. 

 

That way either WG earns more money buy selling it for "gold" or is a huge money sink and people won't bother spamming it. 

 

Also remove premium ammo from all the autoloaders.

It's in WGs interest to have players spam gold, it makes the game less profitable so people then buy premium time.

Then don't create yet another thread on this subject, with the basis in fake, made up numbers. Hate to break it to you sunshine, but unless you're playing superheavies almost exclusively you really aren't worth it to fire 50% premium at. So why don't you come back with some actual numbers?

Why not just make gold ammo regular ammo but with difference parameters? Like make HEAT ammo same price as regular ammo, but balance it: More pen but less damage.

 

That way ammo types would have more tactical meaning, like you could select a HEAT shell for an important killing shot for a low health enemy. Like maybe enemy has enough hit points that HE won't kill him but HEAT/ACPR would.

Something needs to be done about gold ammo.

 

This would require different changes first, to the super heavies (and weakspots), to the maps, etc.

 

If this does not change and you would just remove gold ammo or make it do less damage it will just buff the superheavies immensely, while they are already the "meta" right now.

It would lead to more TDs being played, as those are the ones that have guns that can penetrate the super heavies, which will lead to even more static gameplay.

 

I myself have started grinding TDs and have bought my first T10 TD yesterday, the T110E4, just so I would not have to shoot premium any more and since it is most like a conventional tank (since it has a turret).

Other TDs however are not easily penetrated, like the T110E3, which I am also grinding, they have better armour to the front. To break that you would either need to have maps that are open enough for faster tanks to be able to flank else people will resort to picking the best armoured tank with the highest cailbre cannon to shoot HE at the other.

That would really seem like fun to me...

Remove and remake all armour models in thr game is still the, by far, best route to go down.

I'm driving a tier 9 medium and I get spammed like crazy with gold, a Maus shot me three tims, only with gold. So get your head out of your [edited]and contribute
