On the sandbox server this was a thing. And it was done really badly. I couldn't get an answer on if they'll tone this effect down or not.

So I was hoping to get some kind of update here, maybe someone knows something I don't.

Thing is, that effect is a total dealbreaker for me, since it's too heavy on the eyes for me. It gives me nausea and eyestrain when playing for more than a few rounds (2-3).

Considering in the demo program it was possible to remove the motion blur effect, it would probably be the same for the cromatic aberration. Finger crossed for that, as most of this effect are just annoying...

hey guys do you know anything about anti aliasing settings in 1.0? Because right now it's awful. FXAA is very blocky, TsaaLQ is useless and TSAAHQ makes everything blurry if you are moving...

I'm sure you will be able to turn it off or on, in Witcher 3 you can turn it off for example and that's a game from 2015. Many people dislike chromatic abberation.

You weren't able to disable this effect on the Sandbox version though. This is what worries me.

God only knows why some people like it. It's one of the things sought to be eliminated in the photography world - for good reason. It looks terrible. I guess it's meant to be a 'retro' feature - but CA is far more prominant in digital cameras than on film. It's not even close to being retro - unless you're the kind of guy idiot that puts colour film into a 1930s medium format folder camera.

Guess it's down to [edited] Instagram idiot modes telling us what 'retro' is.

(Yes, I do have strong feelings on stuff that I spend quite a bit of time removing.)
