There is already plenty of individual insentives for extra XP. Not going into that.

Not sure if it is sensible. But ... ah well, i gave it some thought.

Based on the cardgame Bridge:

1a)

Bridge: first 6 tricks do not count

WoT: first few tank kills have a reduced XP value (bye tomato farming, bye lucky ammo racking etc)

1b)

Bridge: Trump Suit is important for trick value
WoT: Reduced team size after 1a) grants extra XP. (hello persistant tanker)

2)

Bridge: There are different contract types: Small, Manche, Slem and Grand Slem

WoT: after 1) you can set a victory condition with amount of survived tanks, based on difficulty to achieve ... dynamicly. (hello MVP)

3) grant a small XP bonus if you stay in game after death, if you were in the 1a group. (Watch & Learn!!! insentive) (Hello Tomato, stay a while and listen)

5)
Anti-camper scoring: the further from your flag you do damage, the more XP you get. Starting with -25% near your flag and +25% near enemy's flag.

Do you really think most players care about how much experience they get?

I don't give a rat's [edited]about that. I play to win. Most of the time, anyway. How much experience I get is not really relevant.

Same here, I play to win. I don't care about stats, WN8, XP, credits etc. All of those come from a direct result of winning anyway. You win more you get more.

credits and XP are not stats, they are in-game economic resources. Wining is a stat.

1a. Getting killed early could be because of bad play, on the other hand if you penalize it you get even more basecampers. (Nobody would want to die as one of the first)

1b.could work, but again it promotes staying at the back camping. Again not really ideal.

2. This is actually a decent one.

3. Yeah I'm not learning much by watching an AFK or a bot play. Unfortunately those are usually the ones to live the longest.

Would need to factor in distance travelled otherwise would discourage cap resets. Why go back to reset if you get reduced xp on dmg done?

just one if statement: if (tankHit.isCaping()) then xpFactor = 1. Easy peasy. ;)

So to get decent XP you need to fire at point blank range close to the enemy cap? YOLO!

So, basically you want less to shoot the early yolo scout, as he don't reward anything or less. And you want to reward base campers that survived the yolo scout since they did not leave base and got farmed. And now they sat in base and won vs more guns and thus "MVP"?  And a bonus xp to those that go for a bathroom break or leaves to makes coffee, or did alt-tab to read facebook instead after death. I suspect this won't work to well.

So you want everyone to leave base the base area open. And once one flank dies and they cap. No one will defend it, as you lose xp for doing damage near your own flag. Genius. As not every cap is open for long range support, or spotting. Forcing you to close the distance.

Options 1 and 2 just promote camping.

Option 3 is just wasting time.

thats is soooo stupid ... early dmg/kills are way more important  than the late game dmg of some basecamping plebs ... if anything early dmg/kills should get extra xp and credits

It really is at your end :B

He only listed the things he doesn't care about. And says the only thing he cares about is winning.

For some reason, it's like you read his words as "I don't care about stats: WN8, XP, credits etc." when that's simply not there.

Indeed and I know where the issue arose The separation of 'stats' and 'wn8' into 2 different entities caused it. Its like saying I don't care about food, carrots, cars and planes...

In my mind the more likely explanation was a punctuation error.
