...and according to SuperData https://www.superdataresearch.com/ hits #4 in Top F2P, ahead of Blizzard and Valve. Same position in 2016. Which is quite impressive, I must say.

Not bad for a dying game which the players are leaving in droves and everyone who is left is refusing to spend any money because reasons. :great:

Why do you want a server to yourself?

highly original. Give yourself a pat on the back for that one.

I'm talking about the sub 40%, sub 10k games players - I'm an average joe, sorry my e-sinep isn't purple, but its as frustrating for the average joes having plebs on the team as it is for the unicorns.

So? What was their profit?

Like, in 2012, their last published accounts before they removed the company from the stock exchange listings, they made 217,9 million euros, which gave 6.1 million euros profit.

I disagree, I'm average and I like having bad players on my team, and even more so on the enemy team.

Somebody has to make me look almost good.

Well lets do the math....

471,000,000 revenue

-                 3 annual server fee

-              140 Banana import tax

-              200 Annual vet fees

-                50 Monkey Cage Maintenance

-         10,000 Cypriot political donations

-                  4 Annual Corporation tax

So all in all their take home pay is around 470,989,603, so the moon base might not be so far off after all.

Why would they be much bigger when they pretty consistently show the finger to the region that actually spends on the game?

Revenue =/= profit

Correct. But also does not mean that all costs are towards the right direction. A business can reinvest all or a big chunk of its profits thus ending the fiscal year with no or marginal profits. Only hit and run shareholders, the so called investors demand higher profits as that is their money. Owners actually don't need profits as they can live just fine on company expenses. It's a clever but annoying way too, to avoid paying taxes. There are plenty of examples of very rich people that pay less taxes than their employees actually just because of that. You can pay less taxes as a company by accessing deductions and state exemptions with various practices such as donations or political pull. And you can't pay wage taxes if you don't have a wage or you have a just a low figure symbolic wage which is taxed accordingly.

So all in all, the fact that revenue =/=profit is beside the point, as long there is money changing hands, there is capital moving, well that's just about all the information you need. So they have money but don't really direct it where they should, to  improve the game rather than improving their potential gain with very clearly idiotic approaches for us the players. I don't care about other projects from WG so i think we have some right to be at least annoyed that they don't use all the money WoT makes on WoT alone.

If we keep the same input data as in 2012, around 13 mil euro.

Quite remarkable for a game that is F2P if you are determined.

Well this may settle all these doom laden posts about WoT dying.

You are below average and you definitely would be placed on the same server as these so called plebs you have an issue with.

I dislike defaming others with stats but you were a bit too hypocritical in your statement. Face it, with your current ratings you are below averagte in winrate and in wn8.

Yeah they hit a peak in 2015 and then started to lose revenue and in response upped marketing and made structural changes.
2017 hit the same level as 2016 but WG just intensified there strategies and we are hitting 2018 where many are now crying WTF happened to the playerbase and WTF has happened to games.
2018 is going to be an extremely interesting year for WG and its like an avalanche the snow gathers slowly over long periods then there is a swoosh and its gone.

For me WoT 1.0 was there rescue card but with just another HD paint job it would seem that they have failed to use it.

If they fail to realize that milking EU people will eventually lead to a very poor game population they will indeed fail. I understand that WarGaming wishes to earn money, but why is it that they just don't realize that introducing these changes in the past couple of months just isn't what is required to make the game more appealing. Let's take League of Legends as the perfect example. LoL isn't p2w and the vanity items in that game seem to be rather popular.
