These tanks given for 'free' by the generous WG to his european customers will bring havoc and destruction in the low tier games, just look at how OP is that gun....

We get marathons for tanks that have a tier 1 gun, and NA get marathons for 1-3 tier 8 premiums....

It's a free tank

if you don't like it, don't get it.

I for one am semi-glad; the marathon doesn't look very appetizing to me and I'd probably wouldn't have much time for it anyway. Still a shame, though. Would have preferred a thingie that would make me make some time free.

But... yeah. There is a reason why those things have extreme preferential match-making (always top-tier) and when you run into them, they mostly fire premium rounds (84mm). Anyone ever witnessed a grudge match between a Panzer IIJ and a Valentine II? I assume that would be a pretty expensive confrontation for both parties.

Way to go OP, embarrass yourself in public. All the Dingers (and many other people) know the secret of the Valentine II is to spam premium ammo and you can fire as much as you have and still make a profit. The armour of the Valentine if well positioned makes it like a mini-Maus, so just blast away and become the hero of your team.

1. It's a tIV tank, it isnt OP and it is perfectly playable.
2. It's a free tank.
3. This isn't the US server.
4. Again: It's a tIV tank.

2 words : preferential matchmacking.

That's what makes this tank great fun.

If you have over 5k games and still play below tier 5, the OP/UP of a specific tank is the least of your problems.

Yeah, but this thing is decent even when using gold sparingly. Spamming it just makes it really fun to play. And that's ok with me, since it's a fun tank, not a credit maker

And now you know why it has +0 MM. It's the perfect tank for people that complain about MM.

And that gun is good enough vs most targets you face tbh, even now as I've played it recently to train my T-54 Ltwt crew in it. It's only an issue if you face a Matilda or a fellow Valentine. You need that rear plate. AMX 40 when it becomes HD will have some more sub 50mm areas it to hit on the turret... Unless it runs the stock turret, then you need the rear lower plate. But then he can't pen you either with his pew pew gun, as the top gun only works on the top turret. So just track it and take your time.

It's not gonna be like the T-34-85M. Most will see that they actually have to aim to do damage due to the "meh" pen vs the 121 on the Matilda, and will see it as useless rather soon. So it will become "rare" in no time again I'm sure.

Interesting choice of tier for your cut-off. I guess you like playing your AMX ELC bis., SU-85, T-34, T67 and StuG III G too much to have made the cut-off tier 6. And I'm sure it's a complete coincidence that that list reads like a Which Tank Guide To Stat-Padding, right?

I have over 30k battles played and I still play tanks under T5, your point? :hiding:

LOL

Tier 5 is where I think gameplay starts to make sense, and the tanks are generally a bit faster.

If you think I'm statpadding in those tanks you should investigate more. Played only the T67 of those the last half year, and I have a WR below my average in that tank.

I think you've missed it completely. Just this morning I had a stonking battle on Mines in my Locust but let's be honest, in tier 3 any tank can become OP simply by fitting a full set of equipment. Doing that while wearing camo and loading all gold isn't because I think it's particularly fair.

But then I'm not the one making pronouncements about other players with a certain number of battles playing tanks below a certain tier that just happens to be the tier in which I've played the majority of my battles in tanks that are well known for their ability to perform well when played by a more experienced player. ;)
