Anyone have an idea, how to avoid artillery fire in a slow motion tank, in open field? :)

(correct answers does not allowed!)

Pretend it's not there. Oh and a Heavy Spall Liner helps a lot, sometimes they just start to ignore you.

Don't be in the open field.

Hide in the back or behind some rock/building somewhere.

Because arty prevents camping...

Keep moving move unpredictably reverse occasionally, try to estimate his rate of fire so you move just as you think the shell in arriving.

Some SPGs have very narrow arcs of fire others large ones.

If narrow moving so he is forced to move the hull and start aiming again works.

Other than that its luck.

I do find heavy and superheavy spal liners help especially if you already have good armour.

However if you have weak armour on top its probably not going to do much for a direct hit.

Don't dismiss the passive effects of large Med and Repair kits either

You can reduce module damage crew deaths and lower stun duration using the right equipment and consumables.

He's talking about Maus. Any form of moving with Maus wont prevent getting hit by arty. Not even the tiniest amount.

OP if you sense incoming fire, run for cover. I'll demonstrate.

Heavy Spall Liner and an English grammar book help AFAIK.

There is a missing article, it should read "heavy spall liner".

i doubt this theory... but some system exist. if anyone noticed that very often some team has most of players belonging to clans while opposite team has only few. and there was some strange things going on for last month, constantly losing matches but now it is back to normal

Nothing. You need to roll over the enemy before arty wittles you down. Which is actually doable in a Maus.

Though, admittedly, arty seems to get a bit lazy actually shooting Mäuse when there are other tanks around, because splashing a Maus does not deal enough damage.

Simply accept that your gamebreaking tank can't just faceroll the entire enemy team on every single map.

Besides that, use a spall liner and keep moving.

btw: A dictionary would help, indeed.

Wrong thread. The rigging thread is further down.

But don't bother reposting. What you wrote there is absolute nonsense.

Yes and no you will be hit but often you will not be hit were the SPG player wanted and also as often get a near miss.

I don't have the Maus but do have the Type 5 heavy and several tier 9 heavies like the Mauschen, E75, VK45 02 B, Jagtiger.

I get picked on and you are right you cannot dodge most heavies cannot.

Some mediums can and probably almost all lights.

When I have noticed in the Type is that with a superheavy spall liner and a large med and repair kit is that I can weather the storm of SPG fire.

3 of them concentrating on me and yes its by by type they will get me, one spg not so much I have managed to push a flank targeted by one SPG player and shrug off the effects.

Even at slow speed its possible to throw off some shots and a near miss rather than direct hit is to be valued.

A direct hit could well mean 350 damage while a near miss probably means zero damage or just a little maybe 50 points.

Most of the time its a critical so optics maybe track damage.

But no crew or important modules knocked out so who really cares.

Only the tier 9 and 10 SPGs are a real danger its those 8 inch or 200+ mm guns, not too long ago loads of SPGs had 75+ pen and the roof of a tank was like paper to them.

Now only 3 or 4 can get to 60 pen with other tier 9 and 10s doing 52 pen.

You are still basically a Pinata for them so you do what you can do.

Open map in an arty heavy game 2 options push and die quickly hide at the back and hope someone takes out the enemy spotting units or better yet the enemy SPGs.

Its why I prefer playing light tanks at the moment

Just 4 words: Super Heavy Spall Liner!

The thicker the armour, the better the effect!
